  Website allowed me to place an order and took the payment instantly. It then took over 6 weeks to receive the order with many phone calls. Communication was extremely poor. The response was always the factory in France were not responding. Tried to arrange a refund and they would not facilitate this request. The whole experience was painful and will not make a purchase in the future!

  Ordered a loom frame with shuttles and am pleased with the product it is well made. Did not receive an email to let me know it had been shipped and could not contact them unless I left a message on a 'contact us knitting query page' which I did. I received a quick reply to let me know it had left the country and it was with Hermes. I had my loom two days later. This was during 'lockdown' so all in all I am very happy with the service.

  I am very satisfied with my order. The site is easy to navigate. The prices for the patterns I purchased are very reasonable. But the most important thing is I love the Bergere de France knitting patterns .They are unlike anything you can buy in Ireland or even the UK. So simple yet so stylish.

  I have recently moved house, and when l placed an order to my new address the site changed my delivery address back to my old address when l had just changed it to the new address - and it was impossible for me to change it back to the correct new address. But when l rang Bergère for help their assistant was very helpful indeed, and tracked the order for me from the factory to my house

  The products are great (I have used the yarn as a substitute for a more expensive brand and it is perfect, as well as being cheaper and going further than estimated).   Once the order is placed Bergere’s service is excellent. However their web site it not good, it is awkward to use in the selection of patterns and yarns, hence they get just four stars.

  When purchasing the yarn I understood from their website that it was available so on that premise the transaction was made. Unfortunately I have still not received the yarn but have received an explanation that the yarn is only being delivered one day a week from the factory. This evening I received an email from my supplier in the U.K. that they now have a full stock of the yarn. Very disappointing.

  The estimated dispatch time on the website is very inaccurate - it states 3 days for dispatch, but it was more like 14 days. Whilst I understand there may be some delay due to current circumstances, I feel the lack of communication about this is disappointing. I had to chase them to find out what was happening. Furthermore, an item was missing from the delivery and I had to chase again to find out what why and when I’d receive it. However, on a positive note, the yarn is lovely.
