Très satisfait du matériel et de la qualité de la veste ARCEM, mais gros point négatif sur les délais de livraison (on va mettre ça sur le contexte mondial actuel) et surtout sur le manque de communication. En effet, malgré des délais largement dépassés, nous ne sommes pas tenu au courant de l'avancée de la production de la veste. Quand c'est la première et qu'on l'attend pour pratiquer dans de meilleurs conditions, c'est dommageable. Je retenterais certainement l'expérience tout de même pour une ARCEM 800N sur Mesure en espérant que ça se passera mieux, maintenant que j'ai de quoi pratiquer. Bonne continuation.

Answer by FREDERIC GFlagBonsoir, Ce n'est pas la commande en elle-même. Je n'ai rien à redire sur la qualité de l'umbo commandé. Par contre, il en va autrement concernant le délai de livraison : j'avais même payé un supplément pour recevoir l'article plus vite. Ca n'a servi à rien, il a bien fallut 2 semaines pour le recevoir (alors que le supplément permettait, en principe, de le recevoir dans la semaine...). C'est cet aspect là qu'il vous faut travailler sérieusement. j'ai les mêmes retours d'informations de la part de mes collègues AMHeurs... Travaillez les délais de livraison et il n'y aura plus d'irritants je pense. Quoi qu'il en soit, je vous souhaite une bonne année 2024 !

We did indeed have a system issue over the summer that did not notify us of incoming messages sent through the website. I have just, thanks to your review, seen the message (which I am pasting below for reference). This is clearly a manufacturing defect and is not occurring on the vast majority of this style of glove we have sold since 2017. I will gladly either replace the gloves with a new pair from our next batch, or refund the gloves to you. Please let me know which you prefer. Kind regards, Anthony Original message from you (image link removed for security): "I received the shipment last week but unfortunately the seams on the gloves are not built for purpose as after only light sparring with rondel and rapier, approximately 30 minutes each, the underside panel of the left forearm separated on two sides from the rest of the forearm with the right glove having the same seam beginning to unravel."

Overall, I am satisfied with the product and the responsiveness of the team while they manufactured and shipped the products. In the end i ordered a complete poleaxe from Black Armoury. I have not yet had the chance to spar with it. But the feeling is great. I had to assemble the poleaxe with a few bolts though, i know other people that can use the friction of the wood and the axe, but it is perfect now. At the time I placed the order I didn't realize that the helmet was backordered. And I don't think that it was all that obvious on the site that it was backordered. So the resulting wait was not nice. But if I had ordered it from a US distributer I would have only gotten it a week or two earlier. And at the time the exchange rate was very good for me so it was a good deal. Communication was also a bit of a problem, but I understand that they were going through a staff shakeup, or some such. So OK. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not a 5.

Waited for my order way too long - I was told it will be ready in 2 months (because of supply problems) and it took 3 months. Communication with customers is also trash, when I got answer form my mail with a neasrly month delay. Atl least the product I ordered is fine.

When I bought products, they were waiting for restock. First, I asked when they would be able to get the products. They named the date, and I did a purchase according to it. Naturally I was expecting a delay, so I mailed them, but they didn't answer. I did think it was due to their holiday, so I waited but they still ignored me afterwards. I sent a message to their Instagram account about unanswered mails, but they kept saying that they are not answering about order issues via Instagram direct message. I tried to explain that I didn't write about the order, that instead I was writing about unanswered mails but they started to answer with templates. After months they answered, and they apologized about the inconvenience and added that they’ve just hired a new employee. Finally, they sent my order BUT products that arrived to me were defective. I tried to stab on a gambeson to see the rigidity and flexibility of one of the partisans. The very first partisan I have tried instantaneously snapped with a sound of broken branch. Now I am afraid to try other ones in the same way and I am pretty sure that they will snap with any thrust. Each piece has certain waves and veins on it creating weak spots. Also, rigidity of each piece is different, one of them is almost floppy like a synthetic longsword, I don’t have confidence to try but it looks like it can easily withstand a 90+ degrees bending, the other feels like Arcem Syntactic Halberd that a friend of mine has, most rigid one is one that snapped, bent was barely 20-degree angle. That is enough to be broken even during slow work if your partner takes a step forward. The plastic of the broken pieces is not homogeneous and there is clearly a piece of white/translucent plastic inside of it. I sent them another email for possible solutions and again they ignored the issue with their new employee. They didn't even say that they can't offer a solution.

My order with Black Armoury went whitout a hitch. Communications were very good, and the staff were wery solution oriented when I didn't notice that the feder was on back order. It was my own fault of course, but they offered to send another one with a different coloured handle, which I of course accepted. From there on it took only a week before I had in my hands here in Norway👍 I would not hesitate to return to Black Armoury for more HEMA equipment.

Dear friends! Unfortunately, I made a big mistake. I didn't read other customer reviews before placing my order. I was deceived by the beautiful and user-friendly site, as well as the interesting and large selection of products. The concept of good and quality service for this store is completely absent! The seller does not get in touch with his client! This was the case when ordering my product (the status did not change for several weeks after payment) and I was not given any comments and answers to my requests. And the exact same situation when I encountered a low-quality product. The seller is just in eternal silence mode.... My advice - think very carefully before contacting this store!!! And if you decide to buy something from them, be prepared that you will be completely ignored!

I will not make excuses, simply I am very sorry for this. While we HAVE been completely submerged, and have suffered from technical communication glitches (as you can see, at least the review process is functioning correctly), I am addressing this : 1) We have contracted our agency to fully rework the communication tools to ensure all incoming and outgoing messages, from all sources, are seen and sent. 2) I have a new person joining us in October who will be dedicated full time to customer service. Very soon, this situation will NOT happen again. Concerning your gloves, indeed it seems that you have received a defective pair. This model of glove has been used for several years, including in our local club, with very few issues. I can either replace the damaged pair, or if you prefer refund you. Please let me know. And I think that if it were not for them, I would continue to sit in silence .... Yes, there can be no excuse in this matter, and the fact that you will have a new employee sometime in October... is not interest to me. We have a problem here and now. Now for the gloves. I do not know who makes them, but I do not have confidence in this manufacturer. By replacing our pairs of gloves with others, there is no guarantee that at the very first training session we will not encounter the same one problem. In order to avoid further problems, I choose a full refund, including those that I spent on shipping a defective product. Let me know how many days it will take for the money to be credited to my account? I look forward to your immediate confirmation of my letter, as well as a response to it! Vladimirs

I will attach you once again photo. Here is 2 right hand gloves from each pair! the quality is absolutely terrible, the product can not be used for its intended purpose! Answer by blackarmoury.comFlagAh, that was not clear to me. I am refunding the full second pair to you now. Also, with this important clarification, I am contacting the manufacturer immediately. If this happened to TWO gloves, it looks like it may be a bad batch and not just fluke on one glove. I’ll look into it. As I stated before, there are many pairs of this glove that have been in use for several years without issues. If something has changed in the production, I will get to the bottom of it. Are you please able to tell me the conditions in which the gloves were used (you said synthetic swords and Cold Steel bucklers I believe). Were the sessions heavy sparring or standard light sparring/training sessions please? Also, for my discussion with the manufacturer, can you please send me photos of each pair separately, showing the full glove? I already have the detail photos for the damage you sent. Anthony
Answer by Tina KFlagYes, as I told, the both pairs of gloves was use during training process not more that ~ 5 times. We do mix training session. Sometime we only do the exersises, sometimes work in free mode. But anyway this is usual fencing trainings, no more no less. I attach you photo of our training equipment plus my gloves (second pair i will send, when will get photo from my partner). I also want to get you attantion, take a view on my left hand glove. Here you will find also crack, but it was from the beginnig, when I recieved it. This was not getted during the training. So, I want to tell that the weak point of the gloves, the coating that is supposed to protect the knuckles. When the form is made, cracks appear at this moment. I think this is the whole problem.
