  I am new to the leathercrafting, so cannot professionally judge on the leather quality, but to my understanding the leather I got is of a good quality as advertised on the website. This review is to describe my experience with shipping option with UPS and maybe to warn other clients on possible complications. Summary: I went for a cheaper delivery option with UPS and ended up paying €58.59 for delivery of goods worth €67.54. I will probably make another purchase and have it shipped by DHL this time. If such a situation repeats, that this good shop will also become a no-go for me. This review is to warn you of possible extra fees by UPS of which you don’t know at the moment for purchase, in case you go with UPS option. Their practice of charging you extra post factum is probably why they offer lower delivery fees. Details: • On 08th of April I ordered leather items for €67.54 to be shipped to Switzerland. Shipment to be made by UPS, cost of shipment was €22.50. • On 18th of April, I got message from UPS that I need to pay additional CHF 34 for fees and taxes. • On 22nd of April the shipment was delivered. The curries showed up with a POS terminal, which he claimed was not functioning, he will accept only cash, and that he has no change, so I need to pay him CHF 34 sharp. I paid the money to get the parcel. The UPS additional payment (CHF 34) breaks down as below: • Government Charges: CHF 6.80 • VAT: CHF 2.05 • UPS Brokerage Charges: CHF 25.15 Switzerland has free trade agreement with EU, leather goods have 0 CHF as customs fees. Swiss duty-free amount for VAT is CHF 150 max. So, no money needed to be paid on this purchase. Even if they would charge the VAT, then the calculation is wrong (Swiss VAT is 8.1%, so it should be CHF 6.87). I am regularly ordering goods from Germany, and never had to pay anything extra (but there DHL is managing deliveries). I sent a letter to UPS on this on 18 April, no reply so far. In this case, the "Dollaro" leather you purchased is listed with an average size of 0.7 m², which means a delivered size of around 0.56 m² to 0.84 m² is within the accepted tolerance range. The piece you received measures approximately 0.6 m², which, while on the smaller side, still falls within this expected range. We always do our best to balance larger and smaller hides to ensure consistency, but slight variations can occur due to the nature of the product.   I was new at buying cross border not delivered through a UK store so was somewhat confused by the courier customs charge. BuyLeatherOnline responded to feedback and made it even clearer on their website (it was always there just slightly unclear if you like me didn't know what you were doing). Got to give them credit for fast and active responses. Stuff goes wrong that's life, it's how you respond that shows your worth and BuyLeatherOnline did everything right with their responses.   I am brand new to shoemaking, my new hobby since retirement. Time and time again buyleatheronline.com kept coming up in all the forums and internet searches as the place to get leather. I priced these guys against domestic sources and the product was lower priced, but delivery was a bit more coming from the great country of Italy. All in all, they were still cheaper than domestic sources and online raved about their quality. I gave them a shot on a small order ~ $85 US dollars. I am not disappointed. these people take pride in their business and products. Delivery was quick, much quicker than I thought it would be coming from outside the US. Product was well package and great quality. These folks know what they are doing. I will buy from them again as my blossoming shoe hobby takes off!

  I ordered the same color before and was very happy. This time however it is not even close to dark red. It's a lot brighter and I don't know if i can even use it. The leather quality itself is still good but the color change is a huge problem for me. Also the delivery took a week longer due to a note that the company is at an event. Which is fine but I was told via email AFTER the purchase and it would have been great to know its taking longer before I buy.

  My overall experience with this store has not been good. Although the quality of the leather is good, it gives off an unbearable chemical smell. It’s like a strong plastic-like odor that fills the entire workshop after the leather has been out of its packaging for a while. The order took nine days to be processed before it was shipped. The store has offered to return the products, but from my point of view, that is not the issue. Losing more than fifteen days on a product I needed makes no sense, and if the strong chemical smell reached me, then it was already there from the start. I have been buying leather for years, and this has never happened to me before.

  Hello Audrius, the leather after re-checking it, has a loose grain problem near an edge visible only on the back side, but this item is indeed sold has 2° grade quality as correctly reported in the product page, so it is normal they could not be perfect and there are some issues! Leather is a natural material and even if always checked issues are always possible, but in this case being not a first grade, more than other kinds, so it has been sent normally! In any case as said we are always available here to change the leather when you don't like them or to compensate in some way. Let us know and thank you for understanding.

Large sheet, good color, the material itself is not of high quality, it looks like it’s made of fabric, it’s hard to work with. Before selling, check what the leather looks like, take a photo! do not sell such leather or sell it at a low price so that the client can turn a blind eye to it. skin is terrible.
