After doing some research and checking out third party reviews, Webroot was the top-ranked anti-virus product on the market for the two operating systems I run (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1). I am very happy I chose Webroot. It runs quietly in the background and has a small footprint on my system. Most importantly of all it works and is very simple to use.

I used to use Avast which slowed down my computer, it was good at the beginning but no more. Glad i found Webroot, so much faster and you do not even know it is there. Does not offer a free version like Avast but if you buy it for a discounted price it is worth it. it is all based in the cloud. Hopefully they come out with a free version.

I bought WEBROOT as what I thought would be a cheap alternative to Norton 3 years ago, WebRoot works better is more affordable and the 49.99 I pay protects my 5 computers. I will continue to buy this product and the customer service agents when I have to call them they are always helpful and polite.

I chose Webroot due to the minimal impact on system resources. I use it on a computer built for gaming and this is exactly what I wanted. Installed very fast and used little space. No annoying popups every 2 minutes about unnecessary upgrades or about what its doing. Love it so far!

So glad I read somewhere the good ratings this antivirus received because I've spent years (and money) on products to remove viruses even when I had protection. I haven't had an issue since I purchased this product and at a very reasonable price! I also really like that it doesn't have pop-ups showing up constantly telling me I'm protected and/or upgrade, etc.

We had been using Webroot Anti Spyware Corporate Editon for years because we had virus problems. That was several years ago and we've never had a virus or malware breakout since. We had one user that got malware a few times but it was stopped dead in its tracks at his machine. Once we got the chance to move over the SecureAnywhere I jumped at the chance. Let me say that it was a very tough, and now, almost year long transition - and there were some problems with ancient applications - but overall the experience after initial install has been fabulous. Not one single problems since! I have 120 users and they do get click happy sometimes.....

I have used other effective free malware scanners in the past. A recent infection was not handled well by the popular free products. Webroot found the malware and cleaned it permanently when others had failed. I am very tech savvy and never had an issue in the past that I couldn't handle. Now I don't have to worry or waste my time again. Well worth the cost! I compared fee based products and I like the fact that Webroot is unique in its methods. In my opinion it offered the most value and minimal impact on resources.

I had a very nasty Trojan and malware that my previous product could not get rid of. I tried the other top advertised products with no luck. Then I searched a couple of companies that charged for the service, at least $150.00 and found that they used Webroot. I took a chance, and Webroot cleaned my system and cleaned it very fast. I'm a gamer and was amazed by how the product did not interfere with any of my games without a bunch of menu selections like the other products.

Webroot is what every security program should be, but sadly, they're not. It's far and away the superior choice. All you need do is look for the green each time you start up. It flashes to tell you it's on the job. PERIOD. Doesn't bug you to do this, download that, click here there and everywhere. NONE of that! It's simply the best. Do yourself a favor. Get Webroot!

I quite often use the internet to research or to play video games. As much as I use the web I have been sent to numerous bad websites and Webroot has kept me on guard and steered me clear of possible bad sites. Also, has stopped a couple viruses dead in their tracks before they could do any harm. As for gaming, this app runs in the background all the time and hardly takes any power away from me playing my games. You hardly notice it even there! I would definitely recommend Webroot.

I was a long-term user of ESET and on the whole didn't have many problems with it. However, on a whim and with my ESET renewal date fast approaching, I decided to have a look at the competition. I am an avid gamer and came across Secure Anywhere AV for Gamers which I initially dismissed as a gimmick. Having used the software for many months now I can safely say that the footprint and impact on my PC is next to nothing. It's fast and it's silent - 'nuff said. One criticism that I have is that I decided to do a 'full' manual scan and to tell the software to scan *all* files, regardless of filetype. Well, over 48 hours later the scan was still running which I was a litte surprised about, but then again I have 12TB of storage space set across several volumes so that may be why. A highly recommended piece of software.

If you are looking for an AV with Firewall that will work quickly, quietly and with very little needed interaction, this is it. I had decided this year to uninstall webroot and use one of the free AV's. The one I chose didn't have a firewall so I had to install an additional program. Within 2 hours my system became unstable and basically unusable. Not from viruses, from the popups and other intrusions of the ""Free"" software. I put Webroot back in and happily paid for the next year of service. Thank you Webroot.

It has found the occasional 'piggy-backed' virus attempt and removed it before any damage could be done. It has also warned me of sites it deemed suspicious or known for malware/trojans/etc.. Be sure to disable any other firewalls, virus or malware detection software otherwise you are trying to work in tandem and that will slow you down. My system seems to have a 'stutter' when starting Adobe Flash but I haven't resolved that yet. Overall? At this point a happy user.

I have had Webroot since 2010 when it came with my computer. It didn't take long for me to be in love with this software. My computer is now 5.5 years old and I've NEVER had a virus of any sort. I recently bought a new year's subscription after I upgraded to Windows 10. I love Webroot!!

In the past, I have used other antivirus software from other companies and still had problems. When I started using Webroot, I noticed that it did not seem to dominate my computer. I am able to have total use while the software continues to take total care with updates and scans. I am pleased with the superior protection it provides. I am totally sold on this product. I have and would highly recommend this product to friends and others.

Aside from one small nod during startup letting you know that it's still operating, Webroot SecureAnywhere software has got to be the least intrusive antivirus out there. The ""sandboxing"" approach to security allows the program to ""make the rounds"" w/o having to stop and scan due to some built-in suspicion & paranoia.

I have been with Webroot since I purchased my first laptop over 10 years ago. I have never had a problem with anything. Even when a major virus tried to come through, it stopped it immediately. I took my computer to a place to check my laptop, and they said it was a Trojan that tried to come through but Webroot caught it and cleaned it out fast. I never know when the software is running as it runs fast and smooth.

I have been using Webroot for about 3 months now. A little background: I recently built a home/gaming PC and was looking for a great antivirus, malware software. All the reviews I read about Webroot were glowing but I didn't know anyone that used it so I was skeptical. My girlfriend used Kaspersky on her laptop so I knew that it was a very good, if not resource draining, software. But I decided to try the Webroot Secure Anywhere and it blew Kaspersky out of the water if not simply the speed at which it does a scan (because of the cloud based desgin) but also in the compact size of the software. It usually takes Kaspersky anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes to complete it's scan where Webroot takes 20 to 45 seconds!!

I love that this program has never caused any problems. It provides a successful scan all the time, my laptop runs great which ensures things are safe and secure. I tried downloading a FREE program online and it did nothing but cause problems. So webroot will always be my go to protection for my electronics. Happy customer here for 5 years!

I have used Norton, McAfee, Bitdefender, Kaspersky and the latest was Viper. WebRoot is better than all the rest. Is is the most unobtrusive AV I've ever used. It takes hardly any storage space. The pricing is hard to beat. It is just the best all around AV product I have ever seen and used.

I've had this installed for a month or so. You know what I LOVE about Webroot? Their software runs the necessary scans without running a million ""upgrade now"" ads. The number of pop-ups with other brands I've used was a source of irritation.

Struggled with McAffee for years. Poor interface, slow, stole ""focus"" from running programs all the time to display meaningless popups. PC Gamer recommended Webroot as a fast, small, inexpensive alternative, and I'm so glad I took their advice. Webroot is my AV from this point on. Thanks!

There was a time I hopped from one anti-virus software to another, after fighting conflicts with programs I was running. Once I tried Webroot, I was hooked. No more conflicts. Daily scans and alerts keep my computer running smoothly. I also run Malwarebytes Premium as double protection. Recently had an issue with Malwarebytes but I also emailed Webroot about the problem for their input. They were quick to offer their thoughts and suggestions, in layman's terms that I could easily understand with my limited knowledge of computers (I know just enough to be dangerous...LOL). I'm a loyal customer!

I have used Webroot on several computers after being very frustrated with the interface of Norton and McAfee and their failure to protect my computers. Webroot is by far the superior product and really not even in the same category if you ask me. Webroot not only tells you if you have a security issue it either fixes it automatically or gives you clearly defined steps on how to do it yourself. I like it a lot!

I signed up to volunteer for an event at signup/genius. There were a couple of pop-ups on the site, and I clicked on one that aroused my curiosity. A few days later, I got an early morning phone call from someone at Micro Assist, or Microsoft Assist, telling me that my computer was at risk and could be seized by a virus. He gave his name as Alex Smith and also gave me a call-back number. He had a very heavy mid-eastern accent, so I was a little dubious about his surname. I tried getting some information on the Microsoft web site, but to no avail. Finally, it occurred to me to try my own security software provider, which is WEBROOT, Secure Anywhere. They replied immediately to my concerns by checking my computer for virus/malware and replied that my computer was clean and clear of viruses. Their quick response and assurance was very comforting. I am very pleased and confident to have this team on my side. Thank you, WEBROOT support staff. You made my day !

I have Supported PC users since 2096, I have tried many different antivirus solutions and none have worked better or had a more reasonable price tag than Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus. This is like Buffy The Vampire Slayer of antivirus software. It is quick at detecting threats and delivers fast and deadly destruction to those threats. Add the fact that it is not invasive like other software in its class, it will not interfere with other antivirus software running on your PC, when scanning, it can't be detected by root-kit malware that may already be running on your machine and in just a few minutes, it detects malware the others can't. There is currently nothing out there that protects your PC or Mac better than Webroot products and when it comes to Internet security, there are two things to remember, free isn't necessarily better and when it comes to what works and what doesn't, there is no such thing as subjective.

I stumbled onto Webroot by accident. My sales representative at American Eagle, a website development company, heard me complain about the antivirus I was using. He told me he had worked befoe with the Geek Squad at Best Buy and found Webroot to be the best antivirus out there. I uninstalled the product I had been using and went to Webroot. I was impressed immediately with the speed and manner of the antivirus searches. I went ahead and installed the product on three more home computers - one of which was my wife's old, sluggish computer. It immediately came back to life and ran much faster and with fewer problems like before. I was astonished at how well it performed. I'll keep it another year since she only uses it for email and surfing the web. On the other hand, I depend on mine for work -- writing a great of material and depending on a reliable antivirus software. I wholeheartedly recommend Webroot. Their product is splendid!!

First off, I am not real computer savvy. I started experiencing a lot of pop up adds, and it seemed like I was being misdirected on my web programs. I played around with all of the Microsoft settings for the web security and thought I had it fixed. Started happening again so I did some reading on Antivirus software. Webroot got good ratings from PC Magazine so I went with it. $20 seemed reasonable so I installed and started using it. It immediately found a half dozen problems like Adware(?) and cleaned everything up. I occasionally will run a manual scan but it hasn't found anything since. I don't know if its catching viruses before they infect or what. Like I say, so far, so good.

I admit that I spend most of my time on Linux, but I still have need for a Windows machine. I have tried a variety of AV products on it, but they were either extremely heavy (slowed the machine down and impacted my ability to accomplish work), constantly annoyed me with attempts to replace free versions with 30 trials, or were just ineffective at preventing or removing viruses. I have found Webroot to be none of the above. It is very light, it hardly impacts the performance of my Windows machine at all. It is almost invisible, it does what it is supposed to do. It has been very effective at blocking/preventing viruses from getting into my machine. It has done all of this at a very reasonable price. It was recommended by a friend and I would definitely recommend it to a friend

I have probably tried every anti virus on the market. I play a lot of online games and do photo editing. I am a novice programmer and have almost 30 years of computer experience. I tried webroot about 8 years ago and I have never looked back. This is by far the best anti virus protection on the market. Nothing works as fast and is as simple to use. The UI is very easy for anyone. It is also the best gaming virus protection on the market. I would recommend this to everyone no matter what there needs are. For over 20 years now I have tried all the brands out there. Most companies have bloatware on their software because they parnter with those companies to make profit out of the end user. I purchased Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus because I had a good experience several years ago with Webroot Spysweeper and was facing a major computer infection with my Firefox browser. I tried several other well-know security products and each one removed potential threats, yet the problem remained. That problem included uncontrollable webpage redirection and constant pop-up ads which rendered the browser essentially unusable and presented potential severe security threats. Although a standard Webroot scan did not solve the problem (although it did scan many more files than any other product I tried!), when I reported this to Webroot, they were promptly available to have tech support remotely fix the problem. Well, in less than ninety minutes, everything appears back to normal. I am nothing less than extremely impressed and will recommend Webroot to everyone who wants to keep free from security threats - and who wants good customer support when they need it.

Best virus protection that I have purchased since first owning a computer in 2005. Other big named companies that supply virus protection have failed me time and time again. Webroot is always working overtime for me and I have renewed it for the second year. The cost is exactly what I can afford and the quality is way beyond that cost.
