Purchased for years now. Best AntiVirus I have used by far. Tip: I purchase new each year (not renewing) for 1/3 to 1/2 off Webroot.com renewal cost... take ""key code"" from new purchase and install (put) into user settings key code spot. It works.

I cant get it to load. I want my money back. It sends me to their website and they want me to spend $79.00 to upgrade. I have webroot and I was trying to renew before it ran out. But it wont load.Update- I finally figured it out. I have had webroot for years. This is a 2020 version so to get it to work I had to uninstall webroot then I was able to install the new subscription and it is working fine. Webroot is the best security software that I have ever used.

Webroot is a great value. We have been using it for several years now and appreciate the fact that it doesn't use excessive resources as other virus software seems to. Also the multi-license pack is great giving 5 licenses that can be used on several computers at one time. This makes updating easy (all at the same time). We might try for the multi-year one next time...a year goes by pretty fast.

Don't get me wrong but I love Webroot Internet Complete Antivirus Protection …. no problems with their services! It's with Amazon & the 'digital' purchase of Webroot that I'm upset with! The price that Amazon offers it for is a 'fantastic price' (half the cost of what Webroot offers) however, Amazon wants you to download their 'Amazon Games & Software Downloader' in order to download any digital software, 'which doesn't work' ….. tried twice to download, gave me all kinds of errors! Ended up calling Amazon for help ….spoke to two reps …. and neither had answers for me! They had me try all kinds of things, including turning off my modem (tower for internet) & rebooting! Finally, I just told the last tech for gaming software that I was gonna just call Webroot directly! She said she was gonna continue to research for a solution & call me back. By this time almost 2 hours had gone by! Oh btw: Amazon does not refund monies on digital purchases! So, buyer beware!I called Webroot & BOOM! Problem was solved in just two steps ….and did not need to download Amazon's software!I just wish I had read the other reviews who had similar problems before doing all these other steps! When in doubt, just call Webroot directly & they WILL solve the problem! If Webroot had not been able to help solve the problem, I definitely would have pursued getting a refund OR a credit to my Amazon account for this digital purchase, especially that I'm a Prime Member! Not my fault their game software doesn't work!

Fast, low profile that does the job and then some.Mostly want to address the issue so many have had with buying from Amazon. All you have to do is this:1. Buy from Amazon, then get your new keycode by copying from your Amazon digital order2. Access the Webroot console and click the gear icon under ""My Account""3. Paste the new keycode into the location titled ""Activate a new keycode"" and you're good to go.4. I also open the webroot online console and enter the new Keycode there. It usually offers to transfer any remaining days on the old keycode and good to go.Have been doing this for years and have had no problems.Good luck

Took intervention from Pao in the Philippines on New Years day while the fireworks were going off, to free up my Amazon account ( I changed to a new Master Card after Cabelas sold out to Bass Pro). Then the Webroot download started awhile later. Could not find a phone number for Amazon for at least 12 hours, finally went online and asked the community at large if anyone had a phone number. Webroot has been my security choice for 5 years. Whereas most security systems check every nit and twiddle making for a very long scan, Webroot goes right for the most likely places for there to be an issue. Generally, their scan is 3 to 4 minutes. They offer optimization for the system which takes little time. There is a secondary threat scan which is also quick. It is more expensive than most systems, but the speed at which it operates makes it well worth it.

To be honest i haven't had any viruses or anything like that to actually test how reliable the software is. The setup of the software is amazing and it's probably the best setup iv'e seen. The program works as a single window if opened and constantly in the background if the HUB isn't open while not messing with any other programs/windows on your computer an that is a bit of a plus for me seeing as I used to use Mcafee that messed with every program and window while working with multiple windows.

First, anyone having trouble adding this to their existing Webroot install is most likely confused. Continue reading the next paragraph if this applies to you or if you are just interested in the process, otherwise skip to the third paragraph to read my review. All that needs to happen once you purchase a new year (or two...but why would you do that?) of Webroot protection, you need to click/tap on ""Returns & Orders"" up top in the Amazon header bar, then click/tap the Webroot purchase and then click/tap the ""go to software library"" button. This will take you to a list of software you have purchased and on top should be the Webroot option you selected and purchased. Listed in the info of the product is a 20 digit keycode presented like xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. Copy this keycode. Then open up Webroot, which should already be running in the background. If it is, the icon is hidden behind the ""show hidden icons"" arrow on the right of the Windows taskbar. Double click the icon and click on the settings gear to the right of ""My Account"" after the Webroot box pops up. Paste the keycode in the white keycode field under the ""Activate a new keycode"" heading. Click ""Activate"". You should see a popup telling you the code was applied and then your subscription days should reset to 365. You are done.Webroot is simply the best security software I've tried. I've used most of the others in the past and have experience with free versions and open source versions. Once I tried Webroot I never looked back. It's easy, light and good at catching stuff. I could go deeper into all of those reasons but if you really want a detailed comparison between the competition there are plenty of professional review/comparisons out there and I would suggest just searching for them. Each time I've personally done just that, I read the same conclusions over and over. Webroot is listed at the top in terms of protection and performance. Now as for my experience as a customer of Webroot, it's better than the rest too, but not without irritations. The first being the auto-renewal that somehow gets checked even though I would bet my computer that I unchecked the box. This is not unique to Webroot but no less infuriating (and scummy) if you somehow miss the single email they send reminding you they are about to charge you double what you can pay to get another year subscription. Lookout for that if this is a new purchase for you. I'm pretty sure it's happened once after just putting in a new keycode too, so my advice is just be aware this ""benefit"" might somehow get selected magically. Just the idea Webroot is willing to scam current customers with the auto-renewal makes me mad. There is no reason the auto-renewal can't reflect the actual going price for their software. If they are willing to sell it on their site to new customers for a discounted price they should be selling it at that price to the people who are auto-renewing. Again, this isn't unique to Webroot. In conclusion, if you need protection for your computer, in my experience this is the best option.

Small footprint with very fast scans as A/V definitions are cloud-based and not downloaded. Con- scan results require an internet connection (or are deferred until one is available). Users with installations on multiple devices can set up ""consoles"" to manage these machines. But deleting individual machines from your console, or even deleting a console, requires Webroot staff intervention and since there is no 'chat' assistance available you're stuck with email ping-pong. Excellent for older hardware with limited memory, storage, and/or slower processors, but getting max protection requires going through the available post-installation options carefully. Best feature: finds and can remove just about anything the bad guys can throw at you. Worst features: adding a new console with a new key-code is needlessly complicated, as is the lack of a chat feature to do simple things like delete a machine from a console (e.g., you want to assign the remainder of a subscription to a new or different computer). Despite the cons, setting up Webroot along with a really good anti-malware app is an extremely effective defense against on-line threats.

I bought Webroot originally a year or so ago because of a good review in PC Magazine by Neil Rubenking. So this current purchase was to renew WebRoot (2nd Year). It's the least obtrusive antivirus program I've used.Likes:1. Uses very little cpu power so there is little to no impact on system performance.2. A full scan takes only a couple of minutes, so there is little impact on hard drive performance.Dislikes:1. Once, it reported that it had quarantined a suspicious file. I searched and searched but could not find which file was quarantined. That is bad because, being unable to determine which files it was, I could never figure out where it came from which is very important.2. Upgrade price through the program is more than double the price than to buy this new version here! Luckily, I was able to buy the new program here and enter the new serial key into the old program without a problem. But they could make this fact more obvious. Usually, the upgrade price for most programs is less than the cost for a new copy.

I've used this software for a year now and there hasn't been any attacks on my computer that made it through. When it came time to renew my subscription it became a pain in the .... Webroot has worked very well the last year.

First I bought Norton, as I have for years. I normally just paste in the security code into the Help/Renew window and that did the trick. Now with Auto Renew, it takes you to the Norton website and wants a credit card even though you have already paid for it this year. This is so they can auto hit you next year for a $149 dollars. Far above the $29 dollars you are paying on Amazon. Webroot is soo much easier to install and use. I spent more time trying to install Norton on one computer AND failing than I spent installing Webroot on three computers. In fact, I had three computers installed while I was waiting to talk to Amazon about a refund on Norton. They said it was not refundable but they made an exception for me. You have been warned about Norton. I love Webroot!!!

Easy to install and the price is great. If I go to renew it through Webroot they want $79 but if I order it from Amazon I can get it for $30. Only thing I need to do is uninstall the old Webroot and replace it with the new Webroot. Only takes about 10 minutes. Product works fine and runs a standard scan every day.

I used to use Norton Antivirus for years. Say since 2002. I was long overdue to move on from that antivirus. In all honesty, I recommend everyone who is on Norton to switch immediately to Webroot. From my experience in the years, Norton does what it advertises. The problem is that in time it will gradually wane down your computer’s hardware, notably the hard drive and processor. This is due to the software consistently unpacking and doing background scans (which is deemed unnecessary) at the cost of your hardware. With Webroot, it significantly decreased the processes on the software making it noticeable. It has a nice feature where at times, if you land on that one website that carries nasty bugs, viruses or phishing elements, it will warn you first before being redirected to that unknown site. That’s actually pretty neat for all beginners.

I replaced Norton with Webroot about 4 years ago. Previously I used Trend Micro, McAfee and AVG. For me Webroot tops them all. It works in the background totally unnoticed and doesn't slow my computer at all. It has totally stopped my virus problems.

I have been using Webroot most of my computer surfing life. Has never failed me, and like wine its gotten better each year. The Complete Package has a ton of protection. My only issue is its pricing method, its price to renew versus Amazon price. I would prefer to renew via Webroot but its price is out of this world. I do notice that the price on Amazon is steadily increasing every year also.

I like this antivirus. I don't like the hassle I experienced trying to install an Amazon key code into an expired Webroot antivirus app. Ended up uninstalling the expired antivirus and reinstalling the new one purchased from Amazon. Aside from that minor glitch, I have used Webroot for years and nothing has made it past this internet suite. It is one of the best out there. I especially like the cloud storage--frees up my refurbished Dell computer (which I also like). Keeps it running fast and problem-free. Any problems linking a new key code to an expired Webroot account, just delete it and reinstall. Easy peasy.

Price on Webroot site 79.00. On Amazon 35.00. For the last 6-8 years I've had to uninstall Webroot, and then install the new webroot. This year just go to account put in the new code from Amazon. Computer is scanned and we're good for another 5 devices for one year. Also we can use the same code free for Webroot on our cell phones.

It seems like as time progresses, so does the ease of using Internet security and anti-virus software. I have used Webroot for almost 2 years now and greatly prefer it to what I was using before - Kaspersky - just because of the ease to set-up and use, and scans not taking too long.Granted I haven't had a virus either, but ultimately when compared with other programs out there,.this one does the job really well.*As a side note, I'd say this software is worth it when not at full price, but I usually wait to buy such things until I catch them on a sale. Like, now.

I’ve been buying my annual subscription renewals for Webroot off Amazon for the last few years. It’s far cheaper to buy the activation codes here than from Webroot themselves. Overall solid antivirus product. Good value.

I have been using this for over 10 years and it has stopped several viruses, anti-spywares from ruining my computer. I make 2 back-ups of everything now, after I had 1 back up and it quit. I have been using this because it's always treated us fair, and for a great price. I buy this for all my neighbors, or people I help with the computers and they have never had a problem after installing Webroot. The best one out there for the $$.

I have been using Webroot for a couple of years and have been very satisfied. It identified three threats yesterday which were subsequently removed with the program. The only issue that developed was that the renewal price was twice the price of purchasing it anew. I spoke with a customer service rep to see if they would honor the lower price for the renewal, which would have made it easier, but he would not do so. Still, I am very happy with the product.

I have purchased this software over and over. It works SO well and is my favorite because it does not slow down my devices. You won't even know it is there but it is! When updating however, it seems obvious to me that the Webroot people would rather have me purchase the update from them, rather than Amazon. Amazon's price is better. What else can I say?

I've been using Webroot security software for many years now. I've not had any infections that I am aware of, so it must be doing it's job. I highly recommend this solution.

We bought licenses for all the computers in our accounting office. Very easy to install and works well with Windows 8.1 and Window 10. Unlike the competing products this does not slow down or mess up with your computer and other programs.

Have used 3 years or so and we have had no problems with our computers. Webroot is recommended to all that want great protection. You can also purchase a couple different packages. We use the package for (up to 5 downloads).Note: If you already use Webroot, to install the new software, remove the prior version first so you won't have issues with your downloads. That was my only issue. Once the old was removed, the new downloaded very nicely.Thank you Webroot!

Doe not slow down system gives good protection. Had a decent price. Easy download but if one has Webroot on your machine and you are replacing it because the subscription is going to expire you have to uninstall old program before installing the file for the new program will load but reverts back to old program with old expiration date.
