  My plan was to cover my Windows 7 system problem and internet explorer in that it would became NON SUPPORTED by MS In 2020. A WARNING MESSAGE was sent to me saying that I needed to get a different Browser Program for the internet. My windows 7 system is a desktop tower I have been using for years and was getting worried then if all of my programs and data would be compatible with Windows 10, I went crazy. Long story short--> I bought a second tower to find out, the second PC tower with Windows 10 system on it. I loaded McAfee on both towers and I'm a happy camper. It took some time to get my head around McAfee because I'm particular about these things. I had been into Windows 7 security software for so long. GOOD LUCK OUT THERE. My comment now when I'm asked is ""So far so good"".

  I have been using McAfee total Protection for several years. Since I have a laptop and a desktop I always get the one for three devices.   I used Norton for years but the prices kept going up, it felt increasingly intrusive and it didn't work on my Chromebook. Mcafee has proven to be a great solution. I have it on a PC, android phone and a chromebook. It does the job without being annoying and constantly trying to sell upgrades. Glad I made the change.

  It took me a while to figure out how to install this software without the benefit of having a disc. The portal on the Mcaffee website is buried in one of the drop down menus. Once I was able to get to the right menu it went pretty quickly. It does take about 30 minutes to do the complete installation but once done it is up and running fine.

  have been using McAfee for years never had issues or infections. Easy to install automatically remove the old copy and put on the new one. Ordering a new copy at Amazon is always much cheaper than renewing online thru McAfee. Don't know why though.

  I always buy McAfee. It's easy to install the download. I do have one suggestion for the buyer. When you copy and paste your key have your locked caps on your key board off. this will prevent you from starting your download as it wont recognize your key code . once you have the upper case key off. you can copy and paste your code easily.. It's pretty simple..

  McAfee Total Protection was easy to install. I immediately ran its ""SCAN"" to check my computer. It found two problems and corrected them. I have been getting a lot of ransomware attacks and McAfee has stopped that. I look at their report and I see a number of bad sites blocked each day. I had used McAfee before but it was using a lot of my resources.This new version does not. It has not affected my computer speed, at least noticeably.

  The software is very easy to install, the scan for the first time takes sometime, few of hours but eventually can be done. then you have a peace of mind, the only thing not sure is the existing McAfee, I am not sure if it could be removed automatically or idled or overlap running. Overall, it is a very good and money worth protection software

  This worked great for me. My HP laptop came with a free trial of McAfee Livesafe already installed, which I renewed and kept for the next year, even though I didn't need the type of protection it offers. This Total Protection version was a great price, less than half of what I would have had to pay to get it directly from McAfee. It was easy to install, too took about two hours but I think that was because it had to uninstall the Livesafe first. The only thing I had to do was restart the computer once it was finished, I'm very pleased!

  I've used McAfee for years and it has kept me protected ""knock on wood"" for all those years. The loading process took awhile for both my wifes and my computers and I'm not sure why.   I've been using McAfee for almost 20 years and never (knock on wood) had a virus since. Problem is, it's just too expensive to buy through them. Unless you call or get on chat, they'll come down but if you don't have time for that this is the best. Buy it, go to your media here on Amazon copy the code, click link and if you're already a customer of McAfee you're signed in and off and running. Couldn't be easier.

  Of all the antivirus products used for decades, this McAfee version was by far the EASIEST and QUICKEST to install on a windows 10 laptop i5 processor. Very straightforward and quick installer screens, simple and efficient.As for the Apple macbookpro install, that requires several system administration grants that fortunately my apple-conversant user knew what to click as it would have frustrated me and I work in IT! Something has to be improved for less intervention on the apple installs but once it was installed, no issues so far.Returned to McAfee brand because its pricing is low and straightforward, whereas my other vendor had a first year intro price and keeps touting automatic following year regular price renewals and that scared me $$$.

  Our 1 year old HP laptop came with McAfee LiveSafe pre-installed, and when the subscription ran out we decided to stick w/ McAfee. I was a bit hesitant to purchase McAfee Total Protection based on some of these reviews, but at the ~$25 price I figured it was worth giving a chance. Glad I did! The link to download was active within about 15 minutes of the purchase and the instructions were quite easy to follow. I'm happy to report that I had zero problems downloading, installing and setting up the program and so far (3-days) it has been working just fine with (as far as I can tell) no negative impacts on my computer's performance. If any of that changes, I'll be sure to update this review, but as of now I am very happy with this product.

  Sooo much cheaper than buying the software conventionally, from a department store or tech store. Advertises three devices, and easily installed on all three (even reminded me how many I had left to install). I have windows 10, and the application performs flawlessly on my pc's. I've used McAfee for years good reliability. I would NOT recommend checking the box that allows for auto-renewal payment, as then you can't shop around for a better price (like I did here). I mistakenly did this in the past, but McAfee made it right & refunded my money (good customer service).

  I was having trouble with my computer, was very slow and had annoying pop ups that I just could not get rid of. Bought the McAfee Total Protection, was very easy to download. I scanned my computer and found two virus possible trojans and McAfee was unable to fix them. I called Tech Support who was very kind and patient listen to all my complaints spent the time with me and cleaned up all unnecessary files on my computer, remove the virus/trojans and now my computer is running smooth, quickly, like when it was new.

  Well worth the 24 bucks I paid! Comes with a password manager and VPN. Amazon gave me a generous discount over the manufacturer’s retail price, which was almost double. This is a good product at a reasonable price.

  It doesn't get better than this. From the low price to the convenience this was perfect in every way. The moment I ordered it I was able to find it in my digital purchase section and once I clicked the link to the MacAfee site I entered the code and simply followed the prompts. It even automatically removes old versions of their product. They do send the code to your email as well but you can just go straight to your digital purchases section to save time. Coverage this easy to install for a couple computers and your smartphone for a year and under $25? Perfect.Update 2020: I just purchased it again a year later at $26.99 instead of the $50 everywhere else and again within just a few minutes it removed the older version, did a fresh install and it even carried over the few days from my last time towards the new amount of days protected. Coverage for 3 devices just doesn't get more affordable or easier than this.Update 2020: I had 20 days left so I bought this again and it worked like a charm for the 3rd year in a row. Buy it, go to your digital purchase section, copy and paste the key. They even have a link that opens up the site where you enter the key. It took all of a couple minutes and added 365 days to my subscription. I also want to add that running this and a decent adblocker meant no problems at all in the last year so this actually works.

  This product does not load properly. I've installed it twice and cannot get to the program in my computer to personalize it. I'm not sure whether or not it's working on my computer. Anybody know who I can reach for help? I'm really not interested in reading pages of ""helpful"" (not) suggestions. I just want results. I bought McAfee last year from Amazon and did not have any problems.I should have come back to here rather than adding a new review. I called McAfee, talked with a very nice gentleman about getting a refund. He suggest I first talk to a tech which I did. She was able to install the program and get it up and running. If you're having trouble with this upgrade, give McAfee a call. I've used their programs for over 20 years and so far as I know, they work fine. It's frustrating when a program won't load and you don't know why or how to get it to work. Too often you have to pay to get any help. This was free.

  Had more probs with it for 2020 than I expected, but better at the end of the year.Installation procedure is horrible!! Had to change settings. I had bought a new subscription, not auto refill. I had a fit trying to install it. Thirty minutes later I was close, but it got caught in a loop and I could not proceed. I had to call for help. They had a time getting it installed too as it took over 30 minutes for them too.Installation requirements and procedures must be changed, as this should be made easy. Right now, the installation process is sending the wrong signal. I am sure other customs are telling all of the difficulty in the installation process. I wonder how much business they are losing because of this problem. Guess it keeps their on line help line busy. Know that could be cut back with a fix and save even more time and money!

  I ran a scan after using this for one month and I had ZERO issues identified. Then I downloaded Malwarebytes to make sure, and it came up with nothing. I consider myself a savvy computer user, and never has my computer been so clean with any other software. On a Dell , windows 10, with 16 GB ram and an i5 processor I can't tell that it is running. While I write this, it is using less than 1% CPU and 100 mb memory or less. I researched the reviews online and this was rated the best. I got it for a great price here on Amazon.

  I had an issues when installing the software on my first computer. I contacted the tech support through the chat mode and progressed to remotely troubleshooting my computer. After a reboot, I lost contact with the tech support. Within 5 minutes I received a call to continue with the support and got everything resolved. This was the best service I have received to date. I was never left to fend for myself the whole time. I would renew again with McAfee when my subscription expires.

  If your running this anti-viral already then your going to probably have an online account showing your subscription. When it expires, you simply purchase the downloadable version from Amazon and it presents to you what looks like a typical alpha-numeric license key.You log onto your McAfee account and where it says, ""redeem a retail card"" place your license key in there, it registers you for another year and runs you through the install process. It may go a little faster if you don't have any McAfee software installed on your system, otherwise it will go through an uninstall process first. Once completed, it will go through a fresh install of the current software. When your done, your good for a year.>>>Important <<<Nothing against McAfee but i'd prefer to order the software on the cheap from Amazon yearly. If you install this software but leave the auto-renew on, if you have a stored credit card, next year McAfee might grab up to $90 bucks for the renew.Anti-viral software is a necessity but I'd rather pay less then $25-$30 then $89.That's a big difference!

  This is the third year I purchased McAfee antivirus software at $25 rather than renewing the program directly with McAfee for $80. I haven't had any issues with my PC or cell phones (where the software is installed) in all this time. It's hard to know whether the program has stopped any major infections or hacks, but I'm happy with the product and it is easy to download and install the program from McAfee's website.

  There are 2 things you should be aware of when purchasing McAfee Total Protection 2021. It will change your google search to Yahoo. This should be easily fixed by going to google chrome setting and change it back to google search.The second is the auto renewal that should also get fixed easy by going into setting just before days from program end and not right after installing.Otherwise McAfee is one of the best product there for cyber security

  A couple of suggestions over the years on the install- take a photo of your 25 digit activation code, and WAIT 10 minutes before proceeding to activation. In the past I would immediately run through the activation and had problems.Last two years the activation was seamless....so easy to just follow prompts.You will get warnings as the program uninstalls last years program, but don’t do anything, just wait till you actually get a prompt from the install.I recommend.

  Norton's technical support is based in India... That is disturbing, I know this from 1st hand experience and the sad part Is that their representative did not even know Norton software or TCP/IP and how it functions (e.g. CIDR)NEVER NORTON AGAIN and they promote they have USA based technical support.Choose your AV software wisely. McAfee is preferred by Governmental Agencies and trusted by more businesses. I have seen only a few that are ore preferred like TOTAL AV... Chose wisely!!!! McAfee seems to be the better choice.

  The program itself is cool, even when it is doing a task in the background the system still functions like nothing is even going on. It is a fully functional program. I had more problems getting it to accept my password than anything because apparently I had this program sometime back and the password in Memory was still active. Other than that it is a great AV program

  I bought this because my prior version expired. I like the three computer capacity because it can cover both desktops and laptops.It came with a code but not clear instructions on just updating my existing account vs a complete download of the software.A search of their website was all about selling products, even after I logged in.Once the product download started, a pop up message asked if I wanted to update my existing account vs establishing a new account and so the update was completed.

  This software is really good. I have been using it for years and it is much cheaper buying it on Amazon than going to the McAfee website. I never renew my protection when the McAfee site sends me notices my computer protection is about to expire, I always say no to their ""auto renewal"" and instead buy it on Amazon. The first year I did that I had to go to McAfee and they had to set up the product I bought on Amazon, now this year I did it myself with the link they sent to my inbox. Super easy! Save yourself some money, keep yourself protected on the computer. You'll be better off no matter how you look at it. Hope this helps.

  This product is half the price I would have to pay if I have automatic renewal on my PC. So I shut it off, and buy my own product when it is close to expiration time. This does not make any kind of sense to me. Wouldn't you think the company would reward a return customer with a lower price, because of loyalty to the product, but ""NO"" they charge more. Go figure.
