  I was looking for Avast to install on a customer's Kindle. & couldn't find it anywhere, which surprised me, since it is on both of ours. Not a fan of Norton, either. I guess I should preface this to say I only use Amazon apps, as i prefer a trusted source. So, after a brief bit of research, I settled on this antivirus. Did a great job, easy set up. Love it when it's simple! It removed 3 apps that were causing problems, one being the stupid test. I can't see a need to buy the premium version, unless you use second party apps. I will be uninstalling avast and switching to eset for my personal kindles, one of which is a fire and the other fire hd.

  Smallest footprint of them all. Nice and light and very fast. I've been using the Eset PC version for over 15 years, before there were any security suites. I've never had a single virus. I've been using this Mobile for over 2 years and I especially like the ANTI Theft. Clever, Plus the lightning fast Full scanner. Great App. For me it Tops Kaspersky

  At first, I was a little skeptical, but I really needed an Antivirus software, so I downloaded a lot of them, scanned with this one first, and bam fixed all of my problems. It was amazing.

  After installing the new update the app stopped working on my fire was gonna rate 1 star but i first tried uninstalling and the reinstalling g the app and it works fine and was Abel to get my license back I use this on my fire my phones and my computer and love this app best one I have see and I have tried them all

  I use ESET on all my computers and it does an amassing job. So I have also opted for this as a safe pair of tried and tested hands for by Kindle HDX. Installed fine and activated the extra trial software that I will purchase at the end of the month (Adds a view to see all running apps,. Memory and storage used etc.. Can't find the option for tracking if its stolen yet though.

  I've had ESET NOD32 anti-virus on my PC for almost 8 years. It is a very reliable security program that has never caused conflicts or other problems on my system (unlike other programs, such as McAfee, that rip the guts out of your computer with each update and cause all kinds of problems).Yes, ESET is based in a former Eastern-Bloc country.... but their software is legitimate - the NOD32 program has consistently received top performance ratings.When we bought Windows 7 laptops, the logical choice for security software was ESET Smart Security (NOD32 anti-spyware firewall anti-theft).When daughter got a Kindle Fire HDX, the obvious choice for security protection was the ESET Mobile Security app. It's an easy download, with minimal set-up required. If your mobile device is a phone, or otherwise has 4G capabilities, the Mobile Security program can also provide loss / theft protection (if the device doesn't connect to a phone network, try Geek Squad's ""Locked and Found"" app for stand-alone anti-theft services).Personally, I don't like the ""live grid"" option, and so I've turned it off on all of our devices (use the settings function). But everything else is enabled.... real time protection, anti-phishing, and potentially unwanted / unsafe application protection.This is a great security app for mobile devices..... I expected to pay at least $10 per year for it, so I was pleased when I found it here for free.Ignore the naysayers.... I've used ESET security products for a long time, and I've never been disappointed or had any problems resulting from their software.
