Verified reviewI have tried both McAfee & Norton. While using both these antivirus programs, I had a virus disable first Norton & hijack my computer. Next, I installed McAfee & the same thing happened again. It was a pain to get the computer back up & running. I next installed Avast & after using it for approximately 4 years, I have not had 1 problem with a virus. This antivirus works.

Verified reviewi have had no problems sense day one when my tech installed it 2 yrs ago. Norton is a pig and doesn't play well with all my sons software. I am a 76 yr old women legally blind and know nothing about computers, Avast has kept my computer problem free , as my son says download it install it and leave it alone and that's what I do. Thank you Avast for making things simple for me , Barbara

Verified reviewNo a.v. software can guarantee it will catch everything but this one has done exactly that for the many years I've used it. Installation has always been a snap. Often more-than-once-daily updates are automatic, interface is easy to use, some handy extras, and it doesn't add unnecessary crap to my machine or slow things down. The only thing that would make it better is if they would sell it cheaper.

Verified reviewAvast does not slow down your computer like Norton and McAfee, at least in my experience. The Avast update system is easy to setup. I have not had any security problems since using the Avast paid version, although the free version also worked well. However, the paid version has many more features and security features.
