Never heard of 1001hobbies until I was looking for the Kawasaki Ninja H2R carbon decals set. 1001hobbies is a great site to shop for models and paints that are hard to get in the UK. 1001hobbies have fast delivery and great customer service and always letting you know what stage your parcel is at. After the tracking link said the parcel had been returned I was really concerned after then looking at some awful trustpilit reviews. Rest assured, one message to customer service and it was resent with a different courier and on the door step 2 days later. Fantastic service.

The site gives the impression that it is UK based, both with the web address and stock advertised in sterling. It also offers free shipping. However the goods are despatched from France and that opens up an unexpected can of worms with import duty etc. The result is that the items cost an extra £78! None of this was made clear at purchase.
