  I didn't have to download it because was already on my pc's - but it was soon to expire. As soon as I clicked on ""Buy"" I received an email from Amazon with the new keycode for my Webroot AntiVirus. I copied and pasted that keycode into the Webroot on my system (under ""My Account""). Now I have 365 days of protection coverage.Note: I think it will give you 365 days coverage from the day you enter the keycode. So if your old subscription has not yet expired, try to wait till closer to the last day. I did mine a week early and that time was not added on to the new subscription time.For this price for 3 pc's it's a no-brainer. It's quick and easy and incredibly light on system resources.

  I like Webroot, I’ts inexpensive doesn’t seem to bog down my systems and gets pretty good reviews. I am not the type of user that gets virus infections ever on my pc, but I share the computer with my family and this gives me some peace of mind, just in case..A nice feature running Windows defender for post scanning is supported so if you feel you want some stronger at protection you can easily do that. Before you buy I recommend you research other products so you know what’s best for your situation, but for me It’s a lightweight non taxing product and I am happy.

  I didn't have any trouble accessing the new key and plugging into my existing install of Webroot on two computers to renew for another year. Key worked and was convenient vs. waiting for a product to be delivered.

  I've been using Webroot for several years and just renewed it again. Over the years I have used different antivirus products such as McAfee, Norton (I feel this is highly overrated and not totally effective) and a couple of others. I have found Webroot to be the most effective, less intrusive and easiest to use. I do a good deal of Internet shopping and surfing and Webroot advises me if a site I am trying to visit may be dangerous and infected, suspicious or possibly contain viruses and gives me the option to continue or back out of it. When I choose to back-out it automatically scans my device to ensure nothing secretly infected it. I've got this installed on 3 devices and it was a quick simple installation on all three.This is the exact same product Webroot sells thru their web site but it's about $20 less here on Amazon.

  Saved a ton of money on this one. Geek squad almost had me (over 50$) but my CC was hacked and was re issued blocking them from auto renewal.I already had this AV so the keycode swap was 1-2-3. Thanks reviewers. You rock!

  The system admin where I work has gone through a few different virus scan softwares and stopped using them for various reasons. He has been using webroot for a few years now so when it was time to renew my personal computers virus software I switched to webroot as well.

  I purchased Webroot for my PC last year. It has been very effective protecting my computer. This year when it was time to renew, I purchased again from Amazon. The prices are so much better. All I had to do was enter the new key code and my subscription was good for another year. No downloading necessary!

  I've been using Webroot for a couple years and I love the way it works. It doesn't take up huge parts of my hard drive like Norton used to do. It doesn't interrupt me as often as Norton did, either. I love the fact that it's internet based. It works quietly and I can still use my PC during scans. It plays well with Win 10. It has detected threats so I know it works. I've never had a problem and I'm a rather techy user, so I'm hard to please with software. Needless to say, I just bought round 3 for another year! It got good reviews on PC Magazine every time, and I do check before buying. I'm very pleased. My caveat is that no virus protection is a substitute for being careful during surfing. I recommend a good site like zdnet.com or pcmag.com to read up on how to protect yourself online. Virus protection is just part of why I haven't been hit by hackers much :)

  I only installed this once on all three computers. When it comes time to renew, you only need to enter the Key. If you must know if you have the latest version, then just right click on the WSA icon on the system tray, select check for updates.

  Webroot has been making top-notch software for years. I have renewed, and upgraded, time and time again. I have had better luck overall with Webroot security products, than with others (Norton, McAfee, etc.). You will not be disappointed!

  Takes up little to no space on your computer. Will not slow your computer. Everything about webroot is automatic the only thing you need to do is install it. Works great if it detects a bad website it will let you know. Scans your computer automatically. My wife and I have used this for several years and think its great

  It works, but seems to need an almost permanent connection to the internet. Easy to install, not much to configure. Multi-user licensing makes this worthwhile. The renewal process was a little annoying, but once that was done, it will leave you be.

  I am rather obsessive when it comes to the performance of my computers. Hence my tag name.I take security pretty seriously and I periodically try other av products that are affordable or on sale just to see how they work. Kapersky, Eset, Bitdefender to name a few. All of them are good with my favorite being ESET. The problem being ESET didn't do so well on some av tests. Webroot works differently in that it detects unusual behavior more than file signatures which it does scan using a cloud based scanner. What this means is that in AV testing Webroot doesn't work because it doesn't work in the same way a traditional AV. So it is hard to get a real world evaluation besides my own experience. One thing to note is the technology they used should theoretically be better able to detect zero day and emerging threats and because it is cloud based signatures are updated in real time. All in all this makes for very little footprint on your pc and a small usage of resources.For me I think the product is great because it doesn't slow my pc's down and allows for almost instantaneous updates. The only downside would be the need to an active net connection. There is an offline scan as well.I think Webroot is a really good product. I would say it prioritizes performance a bit over security while still providing a robust security solution. In some ways I feel it is superior to other AV. There is a new AV that uses AI but it is expensive. I have a feeling that AI will be the future of AV software but for now as a low cost, high performance security option I highly recommend Webroot!!

  The Webroot Software does an excellent job protecting the computer. This is my 3rd year using the software. To install the software, delete the older version and from the Amazon library (get there from the email sent from Amazon with the keycode) download Webroot to your hard drive. It will automatically start scanning your computer.

  This is my fifth year for this product. As others have said, it's a no-brainer. It works and it just keeps getting easier to use. This year I noticed they added an option to add any remaining time from a previous version to the current version. One click and I have 368 days of coverage!

  Great product. Have used Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus for years.If you have an existing copy of this software running, you will want to hold off on entering the new Activation Code until the day your existing copy is due to expire. I entered mine 21 days early, thinking that it would simply add 365 days to my remaining 21 days, but instead it simply reset the clock to a new 365 day period. This appears to simply be the way that Webroot works. Not a big deal, but if you had 200 days left on an existing license you'd lose a lot.BTW Amazon labels this item as ""Webroot Internet Security with Antivirus Protection"". It is NOT Webroot's ""Internet Security"" product. It is their Antivirus product. Don't be misled by this description. Webroot makes a whole slew of products too numerous to list here. Just be sure you know what you're getting.Amazon has a real bargain price here at $20 (12/10/2020) for a 3-device license. I went to Webroot Inc's website and it was $29 for a 1-device license and $44 for a 3-device.BTW if you can't use all 3 you can provide the unused Activation Code(s) to family and friends. They can download the software from the Webroot Inc site.

  I have tried just about every anti-virus and security suite on the market over the past couple of years. If you want high-powered but basic security protection for your PC, Webroot is the way to go. It uses almost zero memory. If you have an old, slow PC, this is your best bet for security protection. Overall, Webroot does not have some of the bloated extras that competitors offer, such as vulnerability check-ups, software updaters, and the like. But it does the basics really well with little interruption. Scans take less than a minute and it does provide search engine result ratings - red/green check marks indicating not safe or safe to click on.

  As someone who plays games on my PC, I needed something lite that doesn't bother me with pop-up notifications like updates and offers. I only want to know if something has potentially infected the computer. This is the perfect anti-virus program for that, and frankly everything else. Just install it, run an initial scan, and pretty much forget about it. The interface is simple in the best way, and actually nice to look at. Final install size for me is under 4 MB, which is unbelievable. I can't recommend the Android app from Webroot as it looks years behind. But this Windows app is perfect. I've tried Avira, AVG, Bitdefender, and Avast prior to this. Webroot is probably the last one I'll ever use. Download the trial first if you need to, the code will work for it if you choose to purchase the 1-yr subscription from Amazon. The Webroot Filtering Extension should also pop right up on Google Chrome after installing this antivirus, just confirm it and it will estimate how trustworthy any given website is via the Google search results.Update 1, December 2020:So it doesn't bother you with ads or offers but it CAN notify you of a security report for your day/week, showing scan results and other statistics. This can interfere with gaming, disrupting Fullscreen applications and switching them to Windowed mode. This can disrupt G-Sync displays when in a game and frankly it's just annoying. I emailed them and they said something akin to ""It's important, you can't turn it off right now"". Frustrating.Update 2, June 2020:The security reports haven't popped up at all in months, whilst gaming or otherwise. There seems to be a setting now that disables scans while gaming as well. All is well for now and I'll continue recommending this to people.

  Working in managed services for over 10 years, I've seen and used most, if not all of the popular anti virus software packages / suites. Webroot works, is unobtrusive, uses the least amount of CPU,ram. I hardly notice its there except when it gives its report on scans every so often.

  This is my second year purchasing the Webroot product through Amazon. I have had no issues from receiving the code immediately to installing/activation. It was a breeze! From purchasing it to up and running was less than 5 minutes. You can't ask for much more. Not to mention, it's less expensive than the discounted rate offered by Webroot themselves. I will continue to purchase through Amazon.

  We use McAfee at my work and it's a huge company. It's been used for years... so I know it's a fantastic product. I got it for an amazing deal on sale and it has 10 product keys. I cpuldnt pass it down.

  Kaspersky got a little to expensive for what you get so this was a great alternative. I have had no problems with this software and no annoying ads and offers. That is why I switched from Norton to Kaspersky and why I dumped Kaspersky for Webroot.
