  Beautiful setting. Great main building and pool. Helpful friendly staff. Wash areas modern and clean. Camping pitches need better maintenance as overgrown in places and rough stony ground. Steps between levels need to be better and a bit more lighting at night..

  Great location, very handy for getting into the city. Close to the palace of Versailles. Location was what we were after, so it was perfect. Pitch was small, but, that was to be expected in a city location.

  Lovely campsite amid trees and close to beach. Very quiet during our week's stay 25th May to 1st June. The shop was quite empty of food, and the Snack bar was not open, except for 1 night on the Friday. Still really enjoyed our time there with our daughter and her family. Would go again.

  I thought it was excellent. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was just a flying visit but was happily surprised by the quality of the facilities and how much thought had been put into all the details of the campsite.

  Excellent reception by the lady on the reception desk. We had a choice of pitches owing to the time of year we visited. My wife had a mishap with a very sharp serrated knife and the same young lady on the reception desk was extremely helpful - thank you. We only stayed one night as we were on our way to Spain but we will be staying there on the way back.ee

  Chalet was clean and perfect for 2 people (although would be a very tight squeeze if 6 were there as it apparently can fit). Would have been nice to be told check in is within certain times as we wouldn’t have gone shopping before hand and miss it by 10 mins! Also lacking some form of oven as there is only a hob and microwave which made melting the camberbet tricky!

  We found that the pitches offered were small - many with large trees in the middle - without privacy hedges between (as on many other French sites).Too shaded with big trees. Poor amount of lighting at night. Power hookups badly positioned so another campervan had to place their lead in front of our vehicle. Our pitch, plus 3 others, had the dubious honour of being able to watch (usually whilst having breakfast) a queue of vehicles waiting to dump their waste tanks about 4 metres in front of us. Those leaving early started early!! Why was this area not away from the camping area? The rubbish disposal area was off the site, across the road, why not have the waste water tank over there where the vehicles have a turning circle? After they had dumped their waste the majority drove off, with valves open, leaving a trail of dirty water from their tanks all over the road down to the reception. The emphasis of the site was obviously the permanent letting accommodation which had large areas between them and not overlooked (as we were by them). Not impressed by the semi open air sanitary facilities. This was one of the last sites of our holiday and the most expensive - for what was offered. Overall, not impressed. Would not return.

  Good site - late season. OK to arrive afternoon / evening, you will find instructions for entry and pitching at reception, Order bread for the next day. On a cycle path, plenty of bikes for hire. Good size pitches.Dog friendly. Excellent Sanitaire.

  Extremely noisy for three nights in a row which site management did nothing to control. Site management booked someone into my pitch whilst I was off-site and then I was obliged to move when I returned to find my pitch occupied.

  Very cool site. Great for families, large pitches and facilities well maintained. Reason for 4 not 5 stars - No water points (only taps in toilet blocks), no chemical toilet disposal at all on site and bins were located off site. There was a fair amount of dog mess in bags around the site which could be avoided with dog mess bins

  My whole experience has been marred by the campsite keeping my deposit at the end of my stay. I paid a €90 deposit at check in, no one explained that that would only be returned if I cleaned the tent until it was spotless and left it in EXACTLY the way we found it. I assumed that it was to cover any damage to the tent. So I am outraged that they have kept the whole lot to cover the cleaning of our tent. Firstly I am annoyed because I would have cleaned it myself if I had known. Secondly, how does it cost €90 to clean a tent. My cleaner charges me £10 per hour and it takes her 4 hours to clean a 4 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms. How long does it take to clean a tent? Having looked into it I see that you can pay for huttopia cleaning service when you book. Which is also €90. It just feels like a massive rip off. This is our 2nd year staying with huttopia, we have been very good customers, but am not sure if we will be returning. This feels like the kind of con a dodgy car-hire company would pull.

  We had until we left truly love our stay at Huttopia. However after our departure we were contacted to say that our tent had not been left in an adequate condition. We disagree. I will be contacting head office with an official complaint as even though we were in the middle of disputing this our deposit had ale ready been cashed in full. Hat had been a wonderful experience has now been deeply soured and has impacted on the rest of our stay in other places as we have had to give time to liaising about the state of the site.

  NO HUTTOPIA SPIRIT HERE. Having had a nice experience in Huttopia Versailles (tranquil, ample sanitary, no cars allowed...) we expected the same here. There is quite a busy road going right through this camping. So far the 'back to nature' experience promised by Huttopia. Booked 2,5m in advanced but still got a spot 2metres from te road. We might as wel could have stayed in Brussels. These spots are a complete rip off. The management says in similar negative reviews that customers can choose their own spot. But that's not a real argument since it's scandalous in the first place that these spots are made available as camping spots in a 4 stat 'nature' camping., for 50 eur/d. Beware for this! After complaining (we certainly weren't the first) we got the possibibility to move to the better part of the camping (the other part is like a car parking). Only to be forced to move our big tent 3 times, because no spots were free for the full 2 weeks. No refund for time a'd energy lost. Even though this spot is much better, it doesn't score better than a 2 star camping. (i would give the other part of the camping 1/2 star) : it's very crowded, full of cars, no privacy, no nature experience, sanitary is insufficient (constant que for the toilets) and dirty, many stuf is broken (gate at the pool, baby football, pool table), staff is friendly but inexperienced and sometimes incapable (job students) : the girl behind the counter promised me 2x that she would come to show me the exact limits of our pitch, but ever came in both instances. For people who want a 4 star camping in this region I would highly reccomend another camping than this one.

  This is the second time we've been to this site, we love it as its right on the beach, our little dog loved the early morning walks along it chasing her ball. Pitches aren't particularly big but adequate for what we need. Shower and toilet facilities were always clean and tidy, staff very friendly and helpful. would definitely go back for a third time.

  I have given this a two star rating one for the pool and the others for the showering and toilet area. The camp site has the worst pitches i have ever come across I was horrified at what we were expected to use for our long stay. i was informed by the reception no refund were possible. Fortunately i was able to move to the other site at Wild Coast which was a more acceptable site. I would not recommend this site at lle de RE to any one and felt sorry for those who were there for 2 weeks.
