Great virus protection. Very quick scans. Best of all...it plays friendly with other brands of virus and internet protection - for those of us who are paranoid and need two products on our PCs.

I had the free trial but didn't like the fact that to purchase it online it auto renewed. Buying the disc and then just using the key lets me control if I want to renew next year. That said, I like the protection provided and the fact that it is very light on resources.

Used it on 3 different computers. Works well not a lot of bulk install like most antivirus. The scans complete quickly and it picks up anything suspicious. The web protection is great too as it will block a site if it detects something wrong about it. Everything is cloud based so it doesn't take up a lot of hard drive space and i can move though the different settings with ease. I like this a lot better than Notion or AVG as it seems to run smoother and take less time on start up.

I do not know if this was a accident concerning the outdated product. I now have the 2015 Version.

Best antivirus because it does all the work in the background. You never have to manually tell it to run scans. It does all that on its own. Perfect for the less computer literate who never would remember to manually run scans as the other name brand antivirus' expect the user to do.

Easy to install and then scan your C drive. It did not find a virus, everything was clean and surfing the net improved temporarily. It seems the problem was not my computer or a virus but rather Comcast. I called them and they said there was no outage in my area. After trying everything I could think of, I called them again and said, send out a man. The lady said, there is an outage in your area. This problem has gone on for three weeks with them and they kept saying it was my equipment. I even installed a new modem and checked every connection a million times, while cleaning everything out of my computer. No wonder they are the most hated company in the country. No TV reception either. Now, one TV, I never watch but am charged for, gets only one channel. I am sure they will say that is my fault too. I believe their tech people just read from a script.

This anti-virus program is a perfect choice for older desktop PC's. Due to lack of funds to upgrade, I'm presently using a 10 year old Dell Inspirion 530S, and Webroot doesn't slow down my computer at all! I made the switch to Webroot this year after using one of the leading anti-virus programs (hint: the name starts with ""M"") for two or three years. After my previous anti-virus program raised their annual renewal fee yet again, I decided to ditch that program in favor of Webroot. I was very surprised at how much faster my 10 year old Dell runs using this program versus the ""M"" program, which frequently slowed my PC down to the point where all programs froze and I had to reboot in order to get my Dell working again. Best of all, the CD disk for Webroot brand new from Amazon was less than half the cost of a year's renewal to that other anti-virus program. I highly recommend Webroot, especially if you're stuck using an older desktop PC like me.

This is easy to install and easy to keep up. It intruded a few times more than necessary when I went from webpage to webpage, but it quit doing that as it worked in. It is 'light' and loads quickly, does not take a lot of hard drive space, and does its job. When it expires in about six months, I'll re-order. Not much more you can say about an antivirus.

I like this better than Norton, as it doesn't bog down my computer. Used for several years now. Installation is a bit of a pain, because there are no instruction on how to go into the menu and find the right dialog box to insert the product key. Ordering a new one year pack is much cheaper (by half) than the company renewal that constantly pops up a month before the expiration.

I don't like to load with a key code. I ordered a disc and it loaded immediately with no trouble. It seems to be working well. The price was good, especially for 3 computers. I had Norton 360 for 3 computers last year. I got it at a nice introductory price . I had no problem with it, but when it was going to renew for another year automatically at about triple the price I decided to shop around. Once Webroot was up and running for awhile I thought I might as well uninstall the Norton antivirus. When I did that it did something to my computer. It would no longer recognize my remote devices, camera and MP3 player. I have extended warranty on my HP computer and they helped me get my computer to recognize them again. I am no computer guru. I'm just saying Beware on uninstalling Norton. When I Googled it I read several other people had the same problem. I still have Norton on 2 other computers. It is no longer active, but I intend to just let it sit there.

I was a Webroot subscriber for several years. When I purchased a new laptop I contacted Webroot to ask how I could transfer the remainder of my subscription to my new laptop. After spending 45 minutes online and giving permission to access my computer to make changes I was told I would have to pay like $100 for the transfer to take effect. I told them no and instead ordered the Webroot CD for much less. It was simple to install and so far I'm very satisfied with it.

I have been using Web-root Secure for many years. It has never had a problem, and from what I can tell it does not slow down my computer. If you shut down your computer at night make sure you run it manually as it is usually scheduled to run itself at 3 am. A CD costs about $20 for 3 computers for one year. I always buy the one year protection because I do not want to deal with this every 6 months.

This is the first time I've gotten the Webroot Antivirus, as opposed to Webroot Internet Security Complete 2017 | 5 Devices | 1 Year | PC [Download ]. That's due to the fact I will not pay more than $20 a year for internet security for two to three computers. In past years, I've always gotten the Security Complete for actually less than that either here at Amazon or a last year version at eBay. This year, the Webroot prices have not been that low at Amazon, and I fear getting older versions now due to Webroot's new policy of cutting off support to older versions. (A policy I cannot understand to save my live, regardless of how many times I read it.) Also, this year the Antivirus was always $20.99 at Amazon for the PC download, until I needed it this week. It actually went up to $39.99 the night I was going to buy it! That made me think: Kaspersky here I come! But Kaspersky went up this week, too. (I've been checking the prices for both for weeks.) Fortunately, I noticed the Webroot Antivirus PC disc was still $20.99 and why the disc would be cheaper than the download is beyond me. Moreover, you don't even have to use the disc if you can't or don't want to when it arrives. You can still download the software from the Webroot website, because all you need is the product keycode. So, here we are . . . one difference I see between the Webroot Antivirus and the Security Complete is there is no maintenance button where you get rid of temporary internet files and such. But I certainly don't need Webroot to do that little task. There's also no firewall, but the Windows 10 firewall is fine with me. (See comments below about a firewall.) In addition, you can't put the Antivirus on cell phones or tablets, as you can with the Security Complete. Once again, not a problem for me I have a Microsoft phone that can't take a download of Webroot, and from what I understand about Fire tablets, no security software is needed. Thus, one more hopefully happy year with Webroot. I do really like Webroot. It just stays quietly in the background and does its job, and does its job well. Yet I'm not paying more than $20 a year for it for two or three devices, regardless of how much I like it.P.S. Contacting Webroot tech or sale support is simple. You just right-click the Webroot icon, choose ""help and support"", and then you can easily contact them by clicking ""send us a message"" at the bottom of the page you are taken to. You get an e-mail back when they have answered, giving you a link to click, which takes you to a page which not only includes your current question and the answer, but also all the other questions, with answers, you have ever asked Webroot. My questions go back to 2012!

Hubby, the IT ""professional"" succeeded in contracting some Virii. As soon as he noticed something was amiss he scanned with MS Defender. Nada. Next he tried MalwareBytes. Some hits and a couple were quarantined. At this point he was getting frantic as his ""finely tuned"" Spidey senses were tingling. Rather they were going off like the evacuation klaxons for the local Nuclear power plant. I was more interested in just exactly what he was doing to have gotten in sooooo much trouble. In desperation, aided by a reasonably positive CNET article he downloaded WebRoot from Amazon. Bingo, he was clean again. As far as his computer status that is.He says that he's aware there may be better products but he was desperate. Within 10 minutes of the download he was smiling. And winking. As far as that goes, I'm still waiting on an answer about his web activities....
