Fantastic. Had Avast for about 6 Months now. it is great. Everytime you first go online it updates itself and lets you know. A real simple system to work with. Have Norton on my other computers but think I will change over to Avast.

I do have one quibble with the marketing of the Avast product: it ""offers"" what, at the front, appear to be upgraded services to the installed product ...but (in fact) the ""service"" is only available as an add-on monthly subscription. These are offered frequently, even after you've declined them already.

Sometime ago I had a tech person work on my computer to fix some software problems. He put Avast on my machine, even thought I had one of the big name products on it. He told me that all I needed was Avast that it was the best product for computer security. It's been over two years and I've had nothing but praise for it. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Avast has great built-in features. Firewall application rules that let you adjust which programs have access to the internet. Real time virus protection and automatic updates as well. Probably for me the best is the ability to run a virus scan in safe mode. So many other things as well. Too many to name here. Download a free trial and experience avast today!

This program is better than Norton and Mc Afee. The support is great! They're constantly updating so your computer is always secure. They send immediate alerts when a virus is detected and then they quarantine it so your computer stays safe. This software is available over the internet and was recommended to us after we had a serious attack from malware and had to have it cleaned by professionals. We then installed it. There are different levels of protection depending on whether your computer is for business or personal needs. We even got it free for a limited time. We are very happy with AVAST and would recommend it to everyone!

This is by far the best security program I've had since my first computer! Daily updates, immediate virus catches that don't leave you in the dark, they explain what they've done, what the virus was and what was done. They give me update warnings when another program needs updating, very convenient. I feel very safe.

Switched from Norton because it slowed-down my computer and was interfering with some of my programs running. So far, I have had no issues from Avast other than having a difficult time figuring out how to allow file-sharing between all my computers on my LAN. The GUI is a learning curve but once you figure it out it's not too bad.Avast's security appears to be solid. Last week I was looking at some motorcycle items and browsed to a website that appeared to be legit, but Avast blocked me from accessing the site saying that the site had a bad reputation of not appearing to be what they claim to be. That made me feel good knowing that it protected me from a potential virus/malware issue. At my place of employment, malware is so rampant it is insane, but at home with Avast I have yet to get a single instance. Unless they screw something up bad, I will stay with Avast.

Although I don't ""surf the web"" randomly like some people do, and don't run across allot of viruses like some people, I know this is the best anti-virus around. The one virus I did run across while using avast, the dreaded ransomware virus everyone seems to be getting that locks your whole computer up to ransom you into paying money to these criminals to get it ""unlocked"" and get your files back, Even though there just getting all your credit info. Anyways It blocked the virus my computer runs like normal. Also, avast does not slow down your computer... Unless that is its updating which takes only a few seconds to minutes based on your internet speed. If youre looking for a strong anti-virus get avast! you wont be disappointed

After paying exorbitant prices for more popular products and still getting hit with viruses that shut down my computer (and then having to pay for the ""fix"" & removal of viruses), My computer tech put on the free version of Avast. I have since upgraded to the paid version, and it has worked extremely well at keeping both my husband's computer and my computer safe from virus attacks & maleware. While knowing that no security product can stop every virus out there, Avast does a better job than most. I have an on-going protection for the next year through Zone-Alarm, but deleted that program from my computer after getting that ""FBI"" virus that cost me lots of cash to have removed. I have also experienced major viruses while ""protected"" through McAfee & Norton. I would recommend (and have) this product to family/friends.

I have used Avast for many years now, on 2 different computers. I had never heard of it, and IT friend from Canada recommended it. He has a high level job with a very, very large international company so I am certain he knows what he is talking about. I am still a plug it in and hope it works kind of person!I started with the free version (not sure if it is still out there) and it worked great. I now have the upgraded version and again - great. I have had McAfee and Norton, and I felt like they were intrusive. It seemed like I could not turn on my computer without messages, upgrades, etc. With Avast, it is like they leave me alone but I am protected. Maybe I did something wrong previously - but I am certain I would not use anything other than Avast.

This product uses less room on my computer than the other anti virus- malware products. It's fairly self managing just set your options and let it go on its own. The program will tell you verbally when it has updated (optional) so you can keep surfing, playing, working without interruption. I highly recommend this product. There is a free version as well but of course the perks are in the paid for edition. After having the free Avast, I just had to upgrade to the paid version because I was so pleased with the product. The extra protection from the freeware is, in my mind, more than worth the small amount for the paid version. It is not expensive yet It is worth every penny and more for the peace of mind. Avast! Internet Security is my protection of choice and I highly recommend it.

I have had Avast security for over 5 years now and have been very happy with it. Its very quick to let me know if something in my email or even on facebook that I click on is not a safe site or has a virus or other bug attached to it. Due to this I have not had any bad events happen to my computer. The price is great, I paid $69 one time for up to 3 computers in my household for 3 years and this is the upgraded security for when you use the internet to shop or bank. I also love the fact that they have Avast safe zone to go to when you are on a bank or credit card website. If you go to that site without going to safe zone first, they quickly recommend that you switch to safe zone before continuing into your account. I highly recommend that people use avast as an internet security program. I have recommended it to many friends and relatives who have also been happy with it.

Like a lot of computer uses at home I share some paranoia regarding viruses and Trojans and so forth. I have used Panda and Zone Alarm and several others but I found Avast both easy and effective to use, and fairly inexpensive. It is really good for what I need (Panda and Zone Alarm, to me, are like using a 155 mm cannon on what I encounter) and I highly recommend it. I find the almost continual updates on the anti-virus front crucial. What I most fear is a malicious program that could interfere with the actual operation of my machine. Since using AVAST I haven't encountered that so I'm satisfied. As far as identity theft, I find being poor with a terrible credit rating does a lot more to prevent that than any software.

I have used a subscription version of avast! for my home computer and the free version of avast! for quite a long time for my laptop and have had no problems with either computer. My wife uses the free version of avast! on her 5 year old personal laptop too without any problems, she is very happy about that. The user interface is pretty intuitive, so anyone can navigate its menu and configure the settings for their own needs. avast! auto-updates itself when I turn my computer on so I don't have to remember to do it and risk forgetting to do it for a few days which would leave me vulnerable. I have used other anti virus software but I like avast! the best for overall protection, ease of use and cost. I would recommend it to anyone, even in a business environment.

I have been using Avast! Internet Security for about a year. I'm happy with the service and the fact that it does not slow my computer noticeably. I used AVG (paid version) for a couple years but left them when I could not get them to respond to a support issue. I have used the customer support for Avast! several times. Each time I was able to quickly get the help I needed. I do not like some of the features on this product - especially the spam filter. One of my calls to customer service was to find out how to remove it. (The answer: go to Control Panel/Programs and Features where you can modify the installation and remove specific components.) Avast! has caught a number of malware coming in to my email and prevented problems. This is a very good feature and different from the spam filter.

AVAST makes the third antivirus software I have used since PCs came on the market. I dumped the first two because they became to pushy, wanted to tell ME how/where/what I was going to do on my computer. Then I read, or heard, I don't remember, about AVAST and checked it out by downloading the free version. From the first day I downloaded the software, to the present, AVAST has sat in the background and ""done its own thing."" I was so impressed by the free version that I purchased the Internet Security package.I don't have to worry about popups occurring several times a session while on the computer, it scans all e-mails and downloads, all the while sitting in the background ""doing its own thing."" And should it detect a bad guy then and only then do you see a warning popup on the screen. I also find it does a very nice job scanning the entire system for anything which might have snuck by accident, which does occur from time to time. There are some features of this software I don't use, either because I don't really need them or can't afford to activate them.Overall, it is a really nice program, one I would like to have seen when PCs first came on the market. But I'm glad a group of people put their heads together and came up with which is easy to use, sits in the background ""doing it's own thing,"" and something which I tell others about.

Avast is a great value, plain and simple. The free version, the last time I checked, has one of the best detection rates around.I upgraded four months ago to the ""avast! Internet Security"" package from the free version for $10 off the regular price. I would suggest getting the free version and taking the upgrade deal to save the $10.The firewall does a very good job of behaving appropriately and has a nice, simple interface for those who are not tech savvy. Being a computer engineer, I have found that the advanced features are present also. The program does pester you with upgrades to features until you disable the notifications in the settings, which is annoying. I also am generally not interested in the software updater, which suggests an update to the flash player plugin seemingly every day (this is really Adobe's fault). I usually use Ninite to update my programs rather than avast.

Bought the 3 year bundle pack for three computers and split it with my two brothers. Come out to be $10 a year for excelect internet security. This will be year 3 I've had the service. As a single man in college, this software has saved my butt a few times. The moment you try to connect to a page someone else has had issues with, the program blocks the page and shows you what other users have picked up to prevent the same thing from happening to your computer. It does give you the option to ignore the page if you are a gambling man. The ways it's been explained to me, avast! provides a very robust free version that many use, I did for 2 years before upgrading. Each of these users can rate pages they've been to and it tracks what pages have given them issues. All of this information is stored and sent out in the daily virus protection updates to give you the best chance at blocking new infected pages and programs you may be downloading.I've been an avid Norton user in the past and I'm glad I made the switch. This service is significantly cheaper, when you split the cost, and has a more robust method of protecting it's users, in my opinion. My advice to you, if you're torn between two services and can't make up your mind, download the free version and give it a trial. Like I said, I tried this method for 2 years before I made a final decision, mainly because I didn't have any free cash to actually ""buy"" software but it was a good way to test the product nonetheless. Also, I'm not sure if they are still doing this but after trialing the free version for 2 years, I received discounted offers in my email that finally pushed me to make the call. If you're looking to save a few bucks and this method of advertising is still being done, download the free version and try buying a copy that way. I think it saved me $30 that way... but was three years ago so who knows.Anyways, hope this helps and happy comment reading!

I have been an avast user for many years. My IT Guru son made me aware of Avast and at first I chose their free service. In comparison to all the others and I mean I tried them all Avast is simply the best. It does not slow you down, it is intelligent when it comes to your programs' needs and intuitive to use while self-maintaining. It updates all the time without any problems. I then chose to buy Avast service because of the additional security features. The price I pay per year is small in comparison for what I get and it is a 3 PC license.

For an Anti-Virus you don't have to pay for, this really is top of the line. In a survey of the best Anti-Viruses on the market today (both paid and free) Avast! Anti-Virus ranked 2nd best in the world only behind Kaspersky Anti-Virus by a couple of false positives (A false positive is when your AV picks up a file and flags it as a virus when it actually isn't - all AV does that at some point, don't let that dissuade you). The best part about it, is that you only pay when you want to pay. Of course using free gives you less features, but when I had a virus on my PC many years ago and got Avast! to try to help, it not only did the job, it was easy to use too and it has never failed me since. With it's user-friendly interface, voice pop-ups that let you know of your AV activity and the ability to pay for it whenever you want, there's really no downside to at least trying it. Another really good point is that it's MUCH cheaper than most other Anti-Viruses out there on the market and they always have deals on their subscriptions (50% off and such) and for the amount of work it does for the price, it's a win-win.One of the few downsides I found is that, while it's not resource heavy, there are times when it does work and takes up a large portion of your CPU, causing other things to slow down. It doesn't happen often, but it's worth mentioning.

I used Avast free version for years. After a couple of years when the software had caught at least 10 Trojans, I felt they deserved my business. I have used Avast Pro for at least 10 years. Last year when I had a ""blue screen issue"", Avast trapped my browser in the sandbox. I called and they repaired my system remotely The price for a year is reasonable and it covers all 3 of my licensed systems. You get 3 licenses with your initial installation. I f my system runs ragged, I call and let them tune it up. Actually, I rarely write a review, but I have never had one issue that their customer support wasn't there for. All my friends and family call me when they have computer problems. I insist they at least use the free version.I .

I have been using Avast! for many years. I use it on my it on my PC Win 7 Laptops as well as my Linux Laptop. I also use it on a Android Tablet. I have yet to encounter a problem with it, yet I know it words due to the warning messages I get when it identifies malware attempts on my OSs. In my own simple tests, after performing a preboot , in dept scan with Avast!, I compared the results with another products ""live"" CD tests and there was no difference noted in the presence of any malware. In both cases, there was none.Avast!'s interface is nicely laid out and easy to use. It offers many additional tools for the non-novice to employ. Please note that in many computer magazine's tests, Avast! is always rated within the top 5. also note that many of Advast! competitors are more expensive. While the free version of Avast! is very good, the paid version provides much more security and, of course, peace of mind. Unfortunately, Avast!, as of the time I wrote this review, does not provide protection for Apple's OS (I-phones, I-pads, etc)Bottom line: Great product at a very reasonable price. Customer device is excellent.

Until they follow suit with the others McAfee, Norton, EZ Armor, AGW, Webroot and the rest becoming far to invasive and controlling I 've found them to be a company that delivers as advertised without the constant hassle that has ruined so many others. I still use however Window Washer from Webroot.I found one portion of the loading instructions to be a bit difficult one cannot it seems just buy without trying it first which is actually not a bad way to go. I'm just not used to that sort of marketing. It's rather nice and I appreciate it.They put up then shut up for the first thirty days and one should seriously consider the three or maybe more for less version if they have multiple units in the house. The second level is all that's needed for the average user.Again I appreciate their marketing strategy and the lack of nose in the tent attitude BUT buy only fromthe company direct and the same with programs like Open Office or through Amazon and do not use companies like Softronics which are privacy invaders.

I used Kasperky for quite a few years until one day I had an issue and their customer service representatives best advice was to request a refund, I did. I started using Avast after reading lots... of reviews and it worked flawlessly. Even on a computer that suffered some issues after my Kasperky experience. So to make a long story short my issues kept getting worse, and eventually Avast wouldn't boot up. I called their tech-line and after they saw I was having issues with restarting my computer they asked to allow them to come in and see what was going on. So to make and even longer story short , I put them on speaker phone and I literally had two meals, my lunch and dinner while their technician removed things added things had me rebooting until finally 6 hours later the Avast Technician says, ""Sir? I changed to Avast because the Virus Protection program that I was using for many years, screwed my computer up so badly that it took a repair man many hours to figure out what was wrong and to fix my computers. About two weeks after my computers locked up I saw a comment in the News Paper explaining that the (Blank) Company had, had a problem. I am still angry because they didn't apologize (well they sort of mumbled in a letter they sent out a long time afterwards, reminded me of a 6 year old boy refusing to take responabilty). I feel/felt they owed me and others a real apology (and I think I deserved pain and suffering, plus the cost of the repairman). I have Avast on all of my devices and my daughter put it on all of hers. We have had Virus Protection from one or the other of the top rated Virus Protection Programs since it came out. We purchased our first computers in the late 80's (which was a few years ago). We are very happy with Avast and the way it performs. I am so glad that a friend recommended it to us.

I bought this today after I had problems with Eset and Kaspersky...Eset wouldn't run, and Kaspersky ran pretty good, but I had some connection problems with steam...I went to Avast's website and downloaded, the full product, its the 2nd download link, the one on the bottom. It was a 100-200MG download. I also did a custom install. You'll see 3 columns. The 1st column says shields: I left it alone default was with all boxes checked. The 2nd column says tools: I unchecked sandbox, avast remote assistance, avast gadget, and simple management connector. The 3rd column says languages: I of course picked English.I am having absolutely NO problems I even ran the tool grimefighter and selected the start up programs I wanted to keep. It's running real nice. Just do the custom install. No problems whatsoever.I was thinking about going with Emsisoft, maybe next year. But so far I'm loving Avast..So I can't relate to the few negative reviews... Hope this helps..

Have been using this software for about 5 years now. I like that it updates at least once a day and some times more. It is very quick and does not slow my internet by much when updating. You can also set when you want it to scan you computer so as not to interrupt with the times you are on the internet. It will sometimes give you a false warning when downloading a new program. If you know the program is good, it will let you by pass the warning. My whole family uses this program on their computers. I would recommend this software to anyone using the internet.

After a few years of using the free anti-virus program, I was finally able to afford the paid version of the Internet Security suite. I was / am allowed to load it on up to three machines. And this seems to be the best Internet Security / Anti-Virus program I've ever installed. For the most part, the Avast software does its job without getting in my way. About the only ways of telling that it is truly effective are the occasional malware warnings, or the rarer need to restore my XP system to a previous Restore Point. And to be fair, those instances are usually preceded by me downloading and installing some sort of software that may have been a carrier for malware. The anti-virus scans can be set to operate in the background during lulls in user activity or when the screen savor activates. The brief updates of anti-virus and related files is fairly innocuous, and seldom limits my access to the internet. One new feature I am currently interested in is the Avast Safety Zone, which thwarts key-logging and similar attempts to steal bits of my identity. If there is any downside to MY use of Avast, it is that it is so simple to use, that I seldom take the time to learn about anything more than the basic setup, and don't bother with any advanced features or topics which might further boost security and privacy. But, I haven't really found a compelling need to do so, and would just as soon work with the computer, being productive, rather than work on it, which is usually not so productive. All in all, Avast seems to be THE computer security solution for most people with typical needs, and a desire to get some actual work done. I heartily recommend it.

this afternoon i checkef my email and found a mesage from avast asking me to give them a good review here being a loyal user of avast for years and having no issues at all i thought sure why not, then i come to the link they gave me and start reading some of the other reviews, to my asthonishment i find page after page of unhappy customers. yes that did shock me but what really floored me was the fact that the issues everyone was complaining about happento be the same issues i havebeen having and did not know that my very own av service caused them. wow!! YOU GOT ME AVAST. I HAVE BEEN refering everyone i know to avast now i feel and look like an ass, thank you very much. i will give you a chance to make it right if not ill change my rating and make it my job to retract every customer i ever sent your way. word of mouth created you and it will destroy you

I am a computer professional that has over 30 years in the IT industry. I now teach network engineering classes and I recommend Avast to all of my students. Many of them need and inexpensive but effective malware protection solution and Avast fits that bill very nicely.I started using Avast by installing the free version. After getting a couple years of solid protection for free I decided that I should reward the company who produces it for their fine product. I have been paying for Avast for several years now and I still love it as much as ever. In all the time that I have used Avast I have been warned of dangers numerous times and steered to safety by the product. Many of the new features, like Safe Zone, give me a bit more peace of mind.

I had been using free avast for 2 years before I switched to Internet security. I am glad I did cause I enjoy it a lot. It is nonintrusive and user friendly. Avast decides on actions to take on its own most of the time and is perfect for those who are not good with computers. I like its software updater feature when It reminds to update important software like Java. Also avast provides a ""SafeZone"" to protect your online banking or other important activities in the internet. Avast prevents access to malicious or suspicious websites which I find extremely useful. To sum up. the product is great and hassle free, never had a problem with it in 4 years.

I have used several different security software, none have been as satisfactory to me as avast. I was having a lot of trouble with programs that have deleted necessary drivers and not protected my computer as I expected. Some have directed me to other software that has done a lot of harm to my computer to where it would not function properly. I was leary of trusting anyone. I started with the avast free version, then as I saw their work decided to buy the subscription last August. Avast has come in and cleaned out my computer and has so far kept my computer clean.I recommend avast to all my family members and friends. Try it! I do not believe you will be dissappointed.

The first time I used Avast was when it was a free down load. A supervisor at work recommended that I use it to prevent Mr.Trojan Horse and things like the pop ups that are claiming your machine is plagued when they are the ones plaguing it! Ring a bell? So after about maybe two years of some good use Avast became no longer a free download. So instead of being such a tight wad I decided all the free service had to be worth the price of approximately $35.00 for a year. So I did. And it has worked quite well. Many times over it has blocked a website and cut it off to prevent it from getting in and it also has trapped viruses for me to execute in the holding cell as I like to call it. I like to down load stuff off of U-tube and if anyone else does this they know that sooner or later you have stuff that slips by. Avast catches most of it too. But I get so raunchy I out do myself. Anyone else here do this? Gnaw...I didn't think so. I must be the only one. So then earlier this year I had something called ""Ghost Genie that managed to get in. I would find it in the control panel-Add Remove programs and I would remove it and then I would remove the folder it creates in my C drive. But more things got in. I discovered a folder with 2 files in it and I could not remove it. Then within the hour the Ghost Genie would also come back. U-tube would not even play on my internet. My machine was now haunted. I called Avast and I was asking about something this situation because I knew that they had tech support. Because It was reformat time! The guy at Avast looked at my status and he said that I only had the basic program. He said for $170.00 dollars I could have full tech support for a year. At that time I didn't really quite know what to do. This guy assured me that they could remove everything and replace damaged or missing files for my windows 7 with ease. So I gave it a try. they instantly right over the phone connected with my computer and uploaded a whole set of tools. They cleaned up everything and I was good to go in about an hour. Then I noticed that there was still that file I couldn't get rid of after they were done. I called em back. No problem...they got right to it. cleaned up even some more stuff. Then after this time in about an hour ""Ghost Genie"" came back!! I called em again. They got right on it and I told the guy over the phone that I didn't think they could get it. Now it was personal. He spent about almost 2 hours in my system running a program in Dos. He found fake web browsers. I watched him kill the ghost genie. This was actually fun. It died like a spirit indeed. Now it has been about 3 weeks and no sign of anything. System clean. I can call them up right this minuet if I need to. They will connect and start doing things I cannot do. many different products are out there to buy for this but these guys used about 6 of them from a tool box program. And they know things that I do not. For me it has been really cool! Nothing like I have ever seen before. It almost sort of looked like fun watching them go to work. You can also leave and they will do it and then shut down your computer when they are done and leave you a note or they will leave it running for you. Basically I cannot say enough good things about them. I even am going to download this one program I originally have that is a U-tube downloader. After I down load it I then go to Programs-Add/remove and remove about 5 other things they install. This worked fine for me, but after a while I downloaded some other thing and it was much worse. I opened up Pandora's box big time! But I was thinking ...if I get my U-tube downloader running and then take that folder and icon and burn it to a back up CD. Have Avast come in and clean up anything else and then when I want the U-Tube downloader just put that folder and icon back on and not have to go through the install plague it insists.I guess I'll never learn. With this group it seems like I don't have to. I paid $170.00 for the extra service for a year so why not play a little bit.

I love this anti-virus because it does a lot to protect my computer & what I do but it is also fun. I have my language set to to ""Pirate Talk"" which gives it a whole new level of fun. The ""Safe Zone"" is also awesome.Another great thing is it doesn't slow my computer down like other anti-virus' do. I have used other anti-virus' & my computer was slowed down a great deal to where it was hard to get any work done with them. With Avast! it's not slow at all. I can get my work done & know that I'm protected. I tell everyone I know to get Avast! instead of the others.

Well I've had Norton and now I have avast and Norton does give you more protection and a few more perks but you also need a nice computer to run Norton otherwise it will slow down you computer like none other and its very annoying. Avast on the other hand gives you exceptional security and their virus protection is also great and it doesn't slow down your computer and its about 1/4 of the price of the newest Norton out there so I'd defiantly recommend it.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an alternative to the other internet security software out there. The user interface for this program is very easy to work with and configure to your needs. The program frequently updates to combat known threats and viruses typically once every day or so. The add on features that work with your browser of choice are also a nice feature, it adds to the protection and protects from hidden threats that may be present on a website.

I have been using Avast for close to 6 years and recommend it to my friends. It is easy to work with and I am notified of updates needed. It blocks a website and notifies you of the blocked website. The free Avast is wonderful and I recently added the enhanced security even though I really feel secure without the extras. But in this day and age it is best to be safe. I recommend it to everyone no matter what level they need

Avast! software provided a free download so I subscribed to it. After a year's subscription, I liked Avast so much, I purchased their Internet Security upgrade.. I have tried two other virus softwares and found they did not interface with other programs as well Avast! did. I like the daily reports which gives you the option of showing details of that report. They provide current updates which makes your computer more secure. They inform the recipients of your emails that they are virus free. Avast! has also kept my computer Spam free. Avast! has competitive pricing of several options. Choose Avast! for your computer - you will be very pleased.

I switched to Avast after many years of frustrated use with of Norton. Like everything else I buy I did my usual research before making a buying decision, and found that Avast always scored very high in all the different categories. And although they offer a free version, I decided on one of their competitively priced premium versions that would give me coverage on three pc's for a two year subscription period. On several occasions it has caught various malware and trojan horse viruses, and for that, I was extremely thankful. I also want to commend their live support team who have been very helpful with any questions I've had. I've been very happy with this product, and would recommend it highly

I have not had any problems with this software. Great options too, you can do a free version or you can pay for an upgraded version. The free version does most of what you need, which makes it great compared to other software. But even if you would like to do more and decide on the paid version. Compared to other programs, Avast is much cheaper. I know many friends that use Avast and I would recommend Avast to everyone.

Avast anti-virus and internet security package has been my choice for a number of years. It is user friendly, effective, and it does not try to take over your computer. It scans and sniffs out viruses and mal-ware according to your personal settings. I started years ago, because it was free (there is still a free version). I gradually migrated to the pay for protection version, and I have been very pleased with the program and support. I would recommend the Avast product line to anyone who is searching for user friendly protection that is effective, and plays well with other software that you may be using.

Even the free Avast! account for viruses, spyware & malware is excellent! I was lucky to buy this, believe me. I had an Alienware from before the Dell takeover and a piece of malware totally destroyed it. When I got my new computer I installed Avast! immediately. There were indeed a several instances where it would stop me before loading a page that turned out to have malware of some kind & I was damned glad. You can hardly do better than Avast! unless you can create your own security program by hand. In which case you can probably not have to worry

I love it. It has a very clean, good user interface. However, it's a little hard to figure out how to disable Avast! when you need to to install certain programs. In my experience it has blocked nearly all attempted viruses. I like the browser cleanup, the sandbox, and the safezone features. It wasn't able to remove Conduit, which took possession of my browsers and search engines when I downloaded some freeway from CNET and wasn't paying attention, but they may have dealt with this since the incident.
