The location was great for Chatelet and the locker was more than big enough for our 3 carry-on suitcases and would have fit larger suitcases if we needed. We had an issue accessing the lock up with our code but were able to text to get it sorted as soon as possible so there was no major delay.

Good location and it's good to have this service overall. HOWEVER: (1) Technical issues: out of 3 lockers we paid for, 2 did not send the code to open the lockers. We had to figure out how to contact CITY LOCKER, call and pay international fees, waste time to figure out the next steps. They sent us the codes eventually, but we wasted quite some time... And in the end we did not need 1 of the lockers, so it stayed empty and they did not want to make a refund, despite us asking for it. (2) It is NOT intuitive how to use the lockers. Even if there is a sign next to the lockers, it's not intuitive. I saw many people wandering around and trying to figure out... Perhaps there's a better way? Finally, the customer service people were not very open to receive this feedback in the chat... :-) All in all, thanks for the service, but also be open to new ideas how to improve it!

You tell us that the service is not easy to use, we are sorry that you did not see the posters above the external keyboard to tell you how to type your code on the keyboard, then the poster above of the keypad inside to open your locker, without forgetting the poster indicating the telephone number of the hotline which is also located just below the keypad. All posters are of course in French and English. We also remind you that everything is clearly indicated in the email you receive with the codes. We note your reflection on the improvement of the service we will install posters with drawings to explain how to type its code on the keyboard.

The locker did not close, it was clearly broken. There was shown an "emergency number" between 8:00 and 22:00. We called three times between 11:20 and 11:50, but no one picked up the phone. So, we put our luggage in a different locker. We sent a message and received answer: 'just close it slowly, no problem'. It clearly did not close and was broken. So, the person texted us that a mechanic would look at the problem. We asked for a refund. Subsequently, we did not hear back. The point of a city locker is to avoid having a hassle with lugage and be able to visit a city without trouble. This clearly did not work and the subsequent service was bad.

Answer by Beth MFlagThis is certainly not true. We had a reservation for locker 12. Tried indeed to open it twice as the locker did not work. Then we called several times and the phone was not answered. Only then did we book locker 23 because it took way too long. A "hotline" is a line that should be picked up, pretty clear isn't it. I am really flabbergasted I even have to make this argument. Then we texted and got into an impolite type of conversation comparable to the way you are responding right now. In the afternoon I came back to the locker. Locker 12 was still broken and could not be closed. I am sure about that and doubt whether a technician went there.

We booked the locker 8 months in advance and we were sent a code with letters as the door code and locker code. When we arrived, we couldn't enter because the lock only accepts numbers (there isn't anyone around, it's a place where you enter with that code). We thought that it was an alphanumeric code but it looks like we received an error message ("BAD") where the code should have been. We came to the locker on a Sunday, encounter the problem (9:30), and tried calling the "hotline" several times just to be answered by an automatic message and an automatic SMS. After 45 minutes we decided that it was best to leave and try to visit the city with our luggage (it was quite uncomfortable because we were traveling with our child). We also sent an email at 9:45 that was answered at 11:30 just to tell us that we should have called the hotline (we did, it was cold). In our opinion, the website shouldn't send any letters or errors when the code should be. It's misleading and you only found out at the door. Secondly, the codes should be found under your account on the website. They are only sent once in an email and if you delete or miss that email, you cannot enter (a couple came when we were waiting and had to leave because they couldn't find the email and there was no reply via email or phone). And lastly, when the place is open, there should be a direct and fast way of communicating with someone. When you hire a service like this, most of the time you are just trying to visit the city for a few hours. Most of the people cannot be in front of the building for 2 or 3 hours just waiting for an answer. I had a reimbursement the next day (although I had to pay the Paypal fees). I hope my comments help improve the service.

With a Eurostar due to leave Paris at 2pm, we wanted to spend the morning in Versailles but didn't want to cart our luggage there and back. After a quick Google search, we found citylocker within a 10minute walk from where we were staying. I paid online and had a text within seconds with the details or the address and the codes for the locker. The address was not as it seemed on the map on the website, and was actually further from our place than expected, but it wasn't too much of an issue. We got there, got in easily and set our stuff in the large lockers. These really are big enough for several bags, but be warned if you get a top row (you cannot specify) - you could struggle to life heavy bags up there. It was perfect for what we needed, though, and I would definitely use again if I was in need!

We opened the locker with the code and there was other luggage in it. We called and had a very rude person at the telephone. In the end we got an other locker number.
