Verified reviewI ordered these boots as a present for my husband at Christmas. I looked at several sites selling these boots but this was the only one with the size available that I was looking for. They are lovely boots and of great quality and my husband assures me that they are really comfortable and needed no breaking in at all. I never fully checked the “small print” where it must’ve said that I would be required to pay customs fees. Now bear in mind that the boots were £245 so they were expensive as it was. On arrival at my home, our postman informed me that I had £102 in customs fees and tax to pay before she could hand over the parcel to me!! I had no choice but to pay. The boots came from France. I regularly order goods from America and the most I have paid is £30-£40 and I have ordered items from a well known company based in Germany twice over the past month and there are no extra “fees” added to what are already expensive items, much like the boots I bought from this site. To say I’m disgusted is an understatement. Are these fees an actual result of Brexit or are they just a rouse to get extra cash from customers who, let’s face it, don’t really have any choice but to pay them. Due to this and this only, I’m not adding any stars to this review which is a pity.

Verified reviewVery responsive team. Product received in good time and VAT refund made about 10 days after I provided proof of UK Customs charges. The only thing that let them down was ParcelForce who decided not to use electronic confirmaiton of goods being held so I could pay/receive. Otherwise very happy with service.

Verified reviewI have two issues, the first was that I thought I was purchasing from a UK site with delivery from a UK warehouse. The goods were actually shipped from France which incurred additional import charges of £88 on an original purchase of approx £330. The second issue was the delay in delivery and lack of customer support in relation to this delay. I contacted Ekosport twice (maybe three times) chasing my delivery, the only response I received was the automatic reply that my email had been received, that you were busy and you would get back to me in due course. I only knew my delivery was being held awaiting customs clearance was when I received a message from Parcelforce saying they were waiting for customs charges to be paid. So far the only response I have had from you was this email asking me to review your service. I accept that the pandemic has effected many businesses and I have taken this into account with my star rating. Note: I have just finished your questionnaire and where I have been unable to comment I gave no star rating but the review will not allow me to leave this blank so where I have been unable to offer a comment I have had to give a single star to complete this questionnaire.

Verified reviewGreat company. Prompt delivery and customer service. Parcel has to transit through customs and associated taxes need to be paid prior to delivery to home address. These were kindly reimbursed by the company upon providing receipt. Great equipment at competitive prices.
