  Very frustrated. After 12 days my order has not been delivered. I have emailed customer service to chase it up and nobody has bothered to reply. So I still don't know when I can expect my materials. I think you can tell a lot about a company by how well it handles problems and complaints. And judging by this experience cowling and wilcox are poor.

  Cowling &Wilcox fine. Their courier arrangements inadequate. If you need stuff in less than a week pay for next day delivery. No way of tracking Royal Mail delivery.

  I'm so sorry your order has still not arrived. We usually use a Royal Mail 48 Hour Service but at the moment we're using First Class post. Unfortunately, they are still taking much longer than any of us would like due to the sheer volume of parcels being put through their systems.   On phone they were very helpful answering my queries . I paid for next day delivery which didnt happen and the delivered box was open and sopping wet . BUT it is a busy time of year and I appreciate how under pressure people are just now with all that is going on in 2020 .I will definitely be buying again as actual product is exactly what I asked for .   When I ordered my paints from Cowling and Wilcox last Monday, I was told they might take a week to get to me so as I needed them by the Saturday, I paid for next day delivery. When they hadn't arrived by Thursday, I phoned Cowling and Wilcox to ask them to check the tracking info and find out when I could expect delivery. I was told they couldn't do this until 10 days after the order had been dispatched! And that Royal Mail were having some problems. Absolutely staggering that any company would use a delivery service having problems and who cannot track the progress of a package. I can find out from other delivery companies exactly where my parcel is, which day it will be delivered, and on the day they can tell me the name of my delivery driver, the time they will arrive and no doubt I could also find out what they had for breakfast. Why use a company that is known to be unable to provide the service the customer pays for? Is this worth the one star rating and the damage to C & W's reputation?The response I got when I called was that they would refund the difference in postage btw the next day delivery and standard payment. I said it was no good to me if it arrived after Saturday. I was told I could return it. When I asked who would pay return postage, I was told to refuse delivery. So we are now one week after I placed the order and 3 days after I needed it and it still has not arrived! I am anxious that whoever in my household answers the door when the delivery finally arrives may forget to refuse delivery, we have about 3 deliveries a day and we are having to remain constantly alert. This is ridiculous. And I still have to make sure that at some point I am refunded for the whole order, one more job to add to my list. I went to a shop to buy the paints on Friday which I was hoping to avoid. All in all, one of the least satisfactory shopping experiences I have ever had. A shame there isn't an option of no stars.

  I recently reviewed Cowling and Wilcox and found that they were quite slow in processing the order, but I ordered again and this time they were very fast. After lots of research I also found them the cheapest for what I needed. Will use them again!

  I was very imptessed that I was contacted - was it by Colin? - to explain that I had ordered something which was in fact out of stock. He soon found a replacement (even better than the one I had originally selected and cheaper) and arranged a refund - and my order arrived very quickly.
