Verified reviewPurchased this furniture and did not realise it came unprotected. Now I have to find someone to come and varnish the table for me. Not to mention you have to purchase from them for £20. Very frustrating. Best to buy furniture that comes already protected.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you did not see your product was not varnished or oiled. This is mentioned in the product description of all of our wooden items. Most of our Oak products are already oiled while the Teak require a finishing touch, this is so the customer has a choice of how the product should look and feel as there is a large difference between oils and varnishes. Please be advised that we recommend the products that we sell but should you wish to use something locally that is not a problem, but please test it on the underside of the unit to make sure that it will not stain the unit in a way you do not want. too late for returns as there is already a ring mark on the surface. I would say you are best off selling the item with options of finish.

Thank you for your response and cooperation. To remove the ring mark on the surface, you need to sand gently in the direction of the grain for a millimetre or two, this will bring the unit back to how it originally looked. Teak is an incredibly dense wood and the mark will not be deep in the wood. You can then protect the unit with oil or varnish to stop it staining further. Kind Regards Your Tikamoon Team

Thank you for your review. As we are based in France, your items need to pass through customs and then be delivered by a third party so it is very difficult for us to give exact dates. If an item is not on ready in our warehouse it means that it's either in production or going through quality control and both of these things also have variables.
