  Absolutely appalling experience booking a trip to Harrogate yesterday. Despite being advertised with savings up to 68% within 10 minutes of making the booking, I discovered that the trip would be £30 cheaper booking directly with the hotel. I immediately attempted to cancel but the assurances of “flexi” aren’t at all flexi and I’d lose out substantially if I cancelled. I have booked regular trips with voyage prive as has my family but no longer will recommend this company.Every organisation has the ability to step outside policy & procedure if there is a desire to satisfy a customer but clearly not voyage prive

  Unfortunately, I had a very poor first experience. The travel dates entered and displayed on the check-out page did not match the dates on the booking confirmation. Due to the slow customer service feedback turnaround of 72h, I had to amend my dates to secure the booking and incurred an amendment fee. Time and money wasted going through this provider.

  Despite every effort to book a twin room, after booking I was told that availability would only be confirmed on the day at check in, subject to availability. I found Voyage Privé response very patronising and unhelpful, calling it a ‘minor’ issue. Why would I want to pay hundreds of pounds for the privilege of sharing a bed with my mother. A refund was impossible only a credit minus £35 fee, shocking! Won’t be using again!

  I’ve always had a very positive experience with Voyage Privé but yesterday was a nightmare. I don’t know what was going on but I seemed unable to pay. In all honesty I gave up and it was only by chance that I returned to it later and suddenly it was all working. If I’d have had an engagement then the booking would not have been made.

  The offers are good value. However customer service is poor. A recent slew of issues occurring during our latest holiday were addressed by a representative who I can only think did not have English as a first language and contradicted herself in e.mails to the extent that we eventually gave up trying to get her to understand our issues. Reparation was made which we accepted but the whole process was exasperating. I would not use VP for a tour again, only for a hotel booking.

  There’s always a catch isn’t there? They have been emailing me every day to say I have £50 credit but when I booked a break it was not deducted so I phoned and discover that the credit is only if £250 is spent.

  I had a shock when my credit ran out without warning and disappeared from my account. Your chat bot then told me I couldn't get it back and left a frowny emoji. I was not impressed as this was over £500! When I rang up, your human colleague was brilliant and extended it no problem. It was a worrying night though before I could ring you. You might like to look at your chat bot reply. It was totally inappropriate!

  The deal is good but nowhere near as good as the savings claimed compared with booking direct. It took about an hour and a half from making a decision to make the booking, not all down to Voyage Privé, but some was (having to log in multiple times for no clear reason, poor site navigation e.g. if you tick the box for a 2 night stay, finding how to get back to 1 night is really hard -- it remembers that choice and you have to find a tiny link in an obscure place half way up the page to finally work out how to change the number of nights again. Even closing the tab and opening a new one and logging in again, it still remembers the 2 night choice... rather frustrating experience

  Had a very bad experience with voyage privé last time I booked with them so was very apprehensive: nightmare holiday and the company refused to acknowledge the problem or to compensate. Was unsure whether to use them again but the experience this time has been excellent. Would be cautious
