  I made my first Cowling & Wilcox order on February 4th. Previously I’d always used https://www.atlantisart.co.uk My order came to £120.68. Free Delivery over £50 Delivery time: 1-3 working days once shipped (not guaranteed). The not guaranteed in brackets being so true! Beware!! After 5 days and still no sign of my delivery I called Cowling & Wilcox Customer services. My package hadn’t been dispatched. 1-3 working days? Definitely NOT guaranteed. I called the following morning, 6 days after paying for my materials, I was told again that Customer services would look into my order. On February 12th I received an automated email from Cowling & Wilcox saying that my order had been dispatched…8 days after making my order!! On the 15th February DHL delivered….HALF my order arrived! I called customer services. On the 16th February I received an email from Cowling & Wilcox asking if I’d received my order? On the 17th I called customer services again. I was told again that Customer services would look into my order. On the 19th of February I received an email from VERIFIED REVIEWS asking me to write and post a review. On the 20th of February I also picked up a voicemail from Cowling & Wilcox saying the paint brushes I had ordered were not now in stock. Tomorrow is 22nd February 18 days after placing and paying for my order. I will call Cowling & Wilcox again. I will email Cowling Wilcox again. The package arrived 21 days after my order. I can hand on heart say I’m exhausted with your company. I'm going back to https://www.atlantisart.co.uk

  Thank you for taking the time to review us. To be honest, I was shocked to receive your review and I don't blame you at all. You've had a terrible experience with ordering from us. I'm so sorry about this. I've looked into this for you and it seems to be a case of if it could go wrong it has gone wrong added to the fact you ordered during a time when we were switching out our customer team and it seems the guys leaving didn't pay you the due attention your situation deserved. From what I can see, half of your delivery didn't reach you and was (finally) returned to us. I understand this has now arrived but, you're right, it's taken far too long and there's been a serious lack of communication. The only thing I can say is sorry and let you know that we're now fully up and running with a new team and orders are being despatched within 2 days of ordering now. We'll be in touch very soon with something as a way of a small apology and I hope you'll feel you can try us again. Kind regards, Guy Cowling.

  Good product but shame they chose DHL as their delivery courier. DHL failed to deliver to a local parcel shop on two occasions. There was also a one working day gap between each attempt to deliver. Fortunately third time lucky they did manage to deliver - but a week later than I’d expected. Shame product great but if I’d known DHL was the courier I’d probably have bought from another supplier. Not the first time I’ve been let down by DHL

  I found it necessary to phone the company since my browser was having difficulty. The staff were excellent and the problem was solved. Not the fastest delivery service but no complaints, the correct goods arrived and are of good standard

Again, I do apologise for the slow dispatch. We encountered a bit of a bottleneck around the time your ordered which temporarily slowed us down. This is very rare but is hugely frustrating for us and, of course, our customers. We're now fully back up to speed again now sending out deliveries within 2 days of ordering.   Excellent service, I have never had any problems shopping at Cowling and Wilcox. Always a smooth transaction. The products are delivered within the time frame they state. The site is easy to browse. The paints are very reasonably priced too. Highly recommended site.

  Order was quick, packaged well and received in very good time. I happend to have a really friendly delivery guy named Robert who brought it right to my studio unit when he didn’t need to. A pleasure using Cowling & Wilcox, I used to frequent the Broadwick st store in Central London and remembered how great the service was way back then. Will definitely used them again.

  Website was easy to navigate, prices seem competitive, ordering was straightforward and the information provided during the delivery process was prompt and helpful.   I placed an order and immediately received confirmation. However that was the last I heard. The payment for my order came out of my account and I heard no more until a week later I wrote to ask where my order was. I never received a reply to my communication but suddenly 24 hours later received notification of dispatch. I do believe that my order had never been processed.

  I ordered a gift for my grandchild on the Friday before half term thinking she would have it for the following week when off school. When it still hadn’t arrived I couldn’t track it online and there was no chat facility, I phoned after 8 days leaving a message, a day later I got a message saying it had been dispatched, it arrived nearly two weeks after ordering. I then got an email saying it had been dispatched so they could not recall the order, no idea why they sent me that. I won’t be ordering again I’m sorry to say.

  Very satisfied with product specification, website selection, packaging and price but delivery process very dissappointing - almost two weeks recently. The virus problem is accepted but being asked for good-service reports many days before the product is even despatched is not good. The delays are so long that it raises fear that the order has not been processed. Even so, will continue with Cowling & Wilcox and live in hope

  Cowling & Wilcox used DHL to deliver art stuff to my house. They took a few days longer than Pullingers but this was in Lockdown. DHL provided lots of proper alerts etc. Packaged very sensibly so sheet paper wasn't creased. I'll use C&W again.

  It took a long time for the product to be dispatched which was annoying as I was waiting for it. It was (just) within their time frame.   I bought canvases from this website as it was the only place that had any stock. Of the 2 canvases I ordered, one was very good condition however the other is not very well stretched and has some bagginess on two of the corners. I was pretty disappointed with delivery. It took 8 days for the items just to be dispatched, when on a timescale this wasn't what I was hoping for. When the package arrived, although the items were undamaged the packaging was awful, odds and ends of cardboard were used and haphazardly parcel taped together, there were gaps in some places where you could see the canvases and the cardboard had actually been taped directly on to the canvas in some areas. Overall I'm happy with my purchase but wait time was long and packaging was bad.

  Upon placing my order, I was alerted to my first time buyer 10% Discount code which was sent to me. But when it came to check-out there was no field to enter it. In my comments box on the order I mentioned this and asked you guys to advise me. Since then complete and utter silence. But hey ho you got my money anyway and that’s all that counts.

  Very helpful and knowledgeable. Was able to confirm that the item I was buying was right for the job. Only down side was that the item I wanted only had one in stock and I wanted 2. I had to change my basic plan to make sure I did not run out of materials in case I could not get anymore. The item is now in stock but due to my changes made I do not need it just now. Very good service though, quick delivery etc.

  Very delayed delivery and no responses to two queries as to eta. Communication is key to good customer service especially if there are unexpected conditions that affect a delivery, It’s not enough to upload a temporary disclaimer on a website especially for those that placed an order before a disclaimer is published.

  Hi, thank you for taking the time to review us. I've just spoken to Chris in our customer service team and he received an email from you saying you received your goods and everything seemed to be OK a week or so ago. I'm so sorry if our communications crossed over and we didn't do everything we could to make your purchase as positive as we could. Unfortunately, challenging situations have a knock on effect a little down the line so we could only put up our advisory slide on our website once we realised that we would have a temporary issue not fulfilling our 2 working day target. A combination of poor weather and staffing issues due to Covid slowed us down for a short period of time and I'm afraid you were caught up in this. I'm so sorry for this.   Fine: took a while to arrive (obvs can understand, these are exceptional circumstances). Not sure the packaging was extensive enough, as a couple of corners were dented. For my purposes this isn't particularly important but more finickety customers might mind. Thanks anyway, Jamie.
