The site was strightforward for me. The delivery was prompt from Europe. They warned about a possible import duty but not what that might be. However there was no charge. It might be good if this develops to give an indication what this might be in future.

Treatment bed is good although didn’t come with any instructions other than a simplistic picture which was not helpful. This caused a delay in being able to use the bed as it wasn’t clear how the springs should be attached (you need strong muscles to stretch the spring into the correct position). Eventually worked but customer services were not helpful. The whole buying experience was terrible from a chair arriving separately to the bed, before delivery date with no warning to complete and utter useless customer service. Over 30 emails sent to discuss issues with the delivery and replacement chair which was too badly damaged on arrival to then waiting a few weeks for a refund which should have been immediate when the chair was sent back but wasn’t. I had to wait until it had arrived back in Spain for it to be processed. In the meantime I was without everything needed to set up a business. I will never use Quirumed again.

Good, service. Cheaper than anything in the uk for a wheelchair with leg extender. Only down side is the wheels may need some adjusting as it pulls to the left, which makes it difficult to control when being used my the user in the chair.

This is the worse retail experience I have ever had. I was delivered a faulty therapy chair. It is so bend with an essential piece missing that it is not fit for use. I have waited 2 weeks already and the issue has still not been acknowledged. I have been forced to buy another chair from some where else in order to continue my work life and because of the lack of communication I am concerned I won't be compensated by the company.

In both cases you must contact us within a maximum period of 24 hours to inform us about the damage, filling in the form of the aftersales section on our website. So ordering in the UK is on a UK site, so you think it’s at least a UK distribution centre, BUT the shipment comes from Spain and the customer pays the customs duties as we’re outside the EU. This isn’t obvious until you’ve paid and then it’s hidden half way down the page of the receipt. Being able to ship something from the EU also requires a special customs ID from the UK government (even if it’s something you’re not going to sell on and just ‘use’ in your business). The application process is easy, but you’ll need a government gateway account to apply, so it’s just another annoyance. Shipment arrived on time though, so no complaints there.

Answer by Leo BFlagYes I did, but I wouldn’t have ordered from the EU had I known in advance. Your website makes it seem like a UK based division of an EU company; where I would assume custom charges wouldn’t apply directly, as the products were already in the UK. A better solution would be to include the charges explicitly when the destination country is selected for delivery.

We ordered 3 items. One arrived broken. We asked purely for a replacement handle but Quirumed insist n replacing the whole item asking TNT to pick it up and stating we will get an email direct from TNT. this never arrives so TNT come, refuse to take it away as it does not have the correct label on as even the one Quirimed send saying you can use that one doesn't work and so the cycle goes on.

Ordering outside UK is not a good idea as the bed came with missing parts and no instruction on how to assembly the bed. After I placed my order I was a little concerned due to the lack of contact and no reply to my email regarding the delivery date. Although their instructions were clear for the delivery which arrived when I was out, the bed was ok when I checked it. However, I can imagine the stress that would've been caused sorting things out caused by their lack of contact and the fact that they're based in Spain and I'm in the UK. They're Ok but they will stress you out and their customer service needs a massive upgrade to get 5*s from me.

This company doesn't communicate with customers to keep them updated. I had to go to them to find out what was happening to my order. I paid for the order mid March and received the goods at the end of May. The only communication was when I emailed them to find out what was happening - not good.

Terrible service ! The company charged me £120 for delivery on top of the price of the bed to ship to UK. Which I paid ! in June 2021 my fathers Electric wheelchair battery wouldn't hold a charge, having used it for three years, checking on the Quirumed site they were "out of stock". Checking again in August they were showing as "in stock" so I paid and ordered one. They kept putting the delivery date off every month. I eventually received it in January 2022, two weeks after my Father passed away having been bed bound for the previous six months as he couldn't use his wheelchair.

Placed an order for an electric wheelchair as a Xmas gift for my wife. Order placed early November. Given a ship date of 2nd December to arrive 7/8 days later. When it didn’t arrive, and having received no communication, tried to ring for an update. Answered via a voice response system after waiting for 5/10 minutes cut off. Repeated several times. Forced down the chat / contact messaging route. Answer gives another ship date of 18th December. I queried delivery dates several times to be told 6-8 days. No commitment provided for Xmas delivery. On the 16th December receive a notification from PayPal that my money has been refunded. No communication from Quirumed. Only after chasing again did they admit they had refunded my order due to supply issues. No communication at all, appalling service and follow up. Steer clear of these cowboys

Firstly given an incorrect quotation and you weren’t prepared to stand over the original quotation ( isn’t there some law about that?!?) Then delivery was delayed and false information/explanation provided as to where the delivery was (I.e. email correspondence contradicted the tracking information) Finally the delivery driver had to be persuaded not to leave the heavy item outside the front door of the disabled customer. Thankfully the product hasn’t yet fallen apart but My expectations are low!

Answer by quirumed.comFlagNigel Apologies for the inconvenience, To confirm the first quotation didn´t have the VAT calculated as there was an error with the system which didn´t recognise the postcode as from Northern Ireland which still pay the VAT on european imports this is what the difference in price was. Please note that delivery is door to door as the courier company don´t have insurance to go inside of a property. There is an extra service that can provide it however, it costs around £400 extra .
