  We purchased an Ultracomm3 for a terrace of 9 houses about 50 or so yards long. These houses are built around a significant steel frames as they are live/work units and we were to some extent skeptical about the claimed 600m range of the system. However, a simple test proved the aerial inside the gate was more than enough to get a good signal inside the furthest house. Very easy to set up and pair the remote handsets. The only issue to be addressed is the rear entry and an option for a rear mounted terminal box to give flexible entry locations and proper glanding would have been a bonus. Also the the cover allen screws are a bit small and fiddly although a handy tool is provided which makes them easy to remove. Overall seems like a great piece of kit for a relatively small budget.

It is great to hear that the units work well for you, we do believe in the figures we quote for range, and we do often test these to ensure the coverage as stated, but there are some occasions that wireless transmission ranges can not be achieved, this could be for many reasons. We will certainly take the ideas on board and see if these can be worked into future updates, any re- designs and what possible effect that this could have on costings etc..   After speaking to a knowledgeable gentleman from Ultra Secure Direct I placed an order for a wireless caravan alarm system on Friday afternoon. Alarm system delivered the following morning (I didn’t even pay for postage as spent more than £75!). To make my life easier, someone from Ultra Secure Direct had even gone to the trouble of syncing all the individual parts - brilliant! System fitted Saturday afternoon, works well. Thank you!

We are sorry that you have experienced some difficulties with the system and our technical department have been working hard to resolve the issue, unfortunately they haven’t been able to ascertain the required information with regards to the fault and would need the units returned to us so that we can investigate the reported issue. In this instance, we would require the units to be returned to us, if you could arrange the return at your convenience, once we have the units back, we would be in a better position to advise whether there is a fault, or whether a repair or replacement was needed. We would cover return costs if the unit was indeed found to be faulty as reported and not damaged/ misused during installation. Unfortunately, we would be unable to send a replacement unit, especially without knowing fully the reason for the reported fault or refund the units without first having the units back.   You made this so easy. The receiver was already set up to alert me. I just tied the eye part to a post and pointed it in the right direction. Customer services were really helpful regarding the width of the beam (20 degrees), so the cars in the Lane alongside the eye didn’t set it off accidentally. Perfect, instant success. Many thanks for your review and sharing your feedback The entry delay on the PIR is 5 seconds and the sirens is 15 seconds, which should give you enough time to deactivate the system should you have forgotten to disarm before entering, but it does seem a while when you are waiting /timing etc. We do appreciate customer feedback and try to use this information to further improve our products moving forward.   I’ve read the operation instructions cover to cover multiple times unless I’ve received a pup I can honestly say the security post locking arrangement must be the worst mechanical design possible. Absolutely frustrating and unworkable system possible nobody will ever convince me to recommend this security post.

  Good morning Sir. Many thanks for taking the time to publish a review, and we are sorry that you are experiencing difficulty with the telescopic post. We have sold many of these posts with this locking mechanism and we normally receive comments with how simple and easy to use the post and lock are as opposed to unworkable. Once you lift the post upwards, the handle should be push back to engage a securing pin to ensure the post stays in the upright position. The lock is then simply pressed down to secure the post into place. The keys are not needed to lock the post in position, the keys are only used to unlock and subsequently lower the post.   Hi Stuart Thanks for getting back to me, generally the key function isn’t the problem, when the post is lowered the mechanism to lock the post in the lowered position doesn’t engage.

To secure the post in the down position, you would need to follow the same process by pushing the handle away from the lock, this pushes the securing pin into position, the lock should simply push down to secure.   Discussed the buildings that required protection with a very helpful and patient gentleman. Purchased two BT Contact/PIR systems which arrived very quickly and were already configured. Installation was straightforward after a bit of thought. I replaced the magnet supplied with one door contact for a rare earth magnet so that I could mount it across a large gap. The low cost of the components means that many devices can be installed to protect complex structures at a reasonable cost. The door contact siren is bearable whereas that in the PIR unit is distinctly unpleasant and I would recommend including one of them even if only used to provide an additional siren. I thoroughly recommend these units and this firm.

  The intercom systems work perfectly. They are well made. The only quibble is that one of the intercoms is in a bedroom and the green flashing light is very obtrusive at night and is difficult to mask off. Otherwise exactly what we wanted.

  I purchased 3 Power Failure torch/ Emergency Lights for my holiday let flats. Ordering was easy and they were delivered with in a few days. We turn the night light and motion sensor off so it is only an emergency power fail light. Ideal for use in a holiday let to meet new fire regulations. Light is plenty bright enough for the purpose and can be turned into a torch. No annoying green light like some emergency lights when charging which is good. I would recommend this emergency light to other holiday flat hosts and to the the general public.

  I found the exact bollards I was looking for on their site at about half the price I’d found elsewhere. From the moment I ordered to taking delivery, it took about 23 hours at no extra cost! I’d highly recommend ultrasecuredirect
