Our whole experience of dealing with Tikamoon has been extremely poor. It is probably the worst experience we have had of dealing with any online retailer. They have a lovely website and appear to have some beautiful items available hence we ordered the console table as we had been looking for something for our landing for many months Originally much earlier in the year, we were advised that the item was out of stock. We liked the item so decided to wait. It was around three months before it became available again. Delighted it was back in stock we were then told that there was a further four-month wait which was extremely frustrating (we were only aware of this once we'd placed our order). but in good faith, we decided to wait. We received no updates until we were advised that the item had been dispatched and would be delivered by GLS. At this point, we were on holiday. The parcel was delivered by Evri. As we were on holiday there was no one there to receive the item. It was left outside our front door and we did not arrive back from holiday until four days later. This was totally unacceptable and could have resulted in the item being stolen or damaged by the elements.

Unfortunately when you looked to place your order the item was out of stock and as such not available for purchase. Once production started on the item again and they were available to purchase, they were listed as a 4 month delivery. I am very sorry for the misunderstanding but they were not delayed further. Answer by Nick CFlagThank you for your response. Whilst you have provided a full refund this is a legal requirement under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 when a product is not of satisfactory quality. You have fulfilled your statutory responsibility and no more. From the point that we tried to buy the product to the point it was delivered we waited approximately seven months (which included several months for the item to come back into stock and delivery time). However you wish to frame it, this it is not great customer experience. I would suggest that you take a look at the comments that I posted about the Thaki console table as well as this will give you an additional level of detail on my rating. I have tried to be balanced and fair in my rating but there were numerous issues that meant you scored so poorly. I would expect that this product review will also be published in the spirit of open and transparent communication.

The website is user friendly and easy to navigate. Delivery was on time. Unfortunately the product was marked and not as expected. Photos were sent to Tikamoon who responded in a timely manner with a partial refund, which I accepted. The product is exactly what I was looking for, however although it looks good it’s not very well made. Looking underneath and behind the drawers there’s no workmanship, it’s shoddy and not very well made, but it looks good and I’m happy. In my opinion this product is overpriced.

I ordered 2 x Ibyza basins for my bathroom, which were delivered within the time scale specified. They were beautiful hand made marble basins, but were different in shape. I spoke with customers services and explained. They were very helpful and dealt with my issue immediately, sending me two new basins. Excellent service - very pleased.

Ordering and delivery were flawless. There was an issue with my product, which had a couple of missing pieces, but it was reasonably easy to get hold of customer service to report the issue. Initially, they offered to replace the whole product, and as an alternative they offered a generous cash discount, which was more than sufficient to cover the costs of me replacing the missing parts myself. My impression is that, to meet the massive backlog of orders that all home furniture makers have experience during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a dip in quality controls at Tikamoon, so there is currently some risk to buying from this supplier. Nevertheless, overall I was happy with the resolution to my issue, and I would take the risk to buy from Tikamoon again in the future.

Hi, looked forward to this delivery. Read through my emailed invoice /delivery report. Noted contradictions eg. The box WAS damaged in several places. Scrapes where found on a cpl of pieces. Other pieces very roughly cut & splinted. I took photos of all & emailed but no reply as yet. I am disappointed of course. I wouldn’t recommend.

Item arrived broken and unusable. Was offered an exchange by CS and immediately accepted this, but then received no further comms from them for two business days. Upon calling them for an update was told the item was now out of stock and hence could not be exchanged, so got a full refund instead. Not super impressed - happy to get a refund, but would have preferred that they had actioned the exchange that was offered while the item was still in stock rather than going silent for two days. Wouldn't go out of my way to shop with them again based on this experience.

The product design and build are as advertised. There isn’t a lot of quality choice online yet Tikamoon had lots of options I could have picked. Order arrived swiftly, lots of communication from tikamoon and also their chosen couriers. One of my sideboards arrived with a small chip on the stone work. The team at tikamoon were fantastic at dealing with this immediately, I was offered various options to compensate, including cash off, vouchers towards a further purchase or a brand new sideboard. I chose a new sideboard which was dispatched to me immediately. Tikamoon organised with their couriers for the damaged one to be collected. Could not fault. Excellent customer service.

I am not happy about shopping online but after a couple of years looking for a coffee table I went online to look. Tikamoon had been recommended to me by a friend who has used this site before. Seeing a table I really liked I decided to order it despite some reviewers saying they had waited a long time or were not happy with the top. It is really lovely and much admired.

The cabinet had a broken leg (sheared off) when I opened the packing. It took your customer care team several days to respond to my email and they have been slow in communicating since then. I am unhappy about waiting a further six weeks for a replacement cabinet and have requested a refund. I have again chased for a response today. All in all a very disappointing experience and the issues remain unresolved. I would also recommend you re-consider your delivery company judging by the disorganised delivery arrangements and the state of the contents of the delivery vehicle. When can I expect all this to be resolved?

We are very happy with our table, chairs and stools, which are of very good quality. The item took longer than estimated to arrive; we contacted Customer Service and they explained that it was because of paperwork necessary to prove the origin of the wood (which is from a sustainable source in India). The person we spoke to explained that the company is based is in France and unfortunately the customs clearance process has become much slower since Brexit. Once clear of Customs, the delivery process was very straightforward and the courier company, BJS, was very good - we were able to choose a day that suited our schedule and communication was great throughout. The drivers were very helpful and nice to deal with. We were very impressed with the way Tikamoon handled our order, despite delays that were outside of their control, and we are very happy with our new furniture.

We love the item but it’s a shame that you have to treat the wood yourself, and on top of this Tikamoon make you pay for the treatment. Also the tin arrived in French so we had to translate the instructions which was a bit annoying. The furniture is good quality, however the drawers are very stiff as well. Lastly I sent an email with a query and never heard back. I also called with some questions about the wood treatment and the person I spoke to had no idea what the answers were. Wouldn’t shop with Tikamoon again as it’s been a frustrating experience, even though we do love the item we purchased but the customer service and issues were too painful to go through again.

Answer by Becky RFlagHi - you need to check the links on your website as when I clicked on the ‘product page’ link it just took me back to the regular category page (TV stands, tables etc). Couldn’t find details or instructions anywhere. My advice would be to pop a slip of paper with instructions on, to UK customers that have ordered the treatment. Either containing instructions in English, or with specific directions to how to find them on the website. Would be a simple solution! Thanks very much for your response to my review anyway, and thanks for a lovely bit of furniture regardless!

Overall initial impressions were good. Looked like a good product, great design and solid. It went downhill from there. The first large coffee table was delivered in a few weeks, but the oblong one would be about 4 months. Ok, I can live with that. Then the first table developed a large crack down the side. It wasn’t solid wood, just lats joined together. The same technique as oak furnitureland which came in pieces. However customer service was good and they refunded the money but packing for the return was difficult. The four months for the oblong table went to 5 then 6 and into 7. The customer contact centre were painful and couldn’t say when it would be in stock. They offered a discount but that completely missed the point. It’s here. It looks good. But I’ll not be buying again from Tikamoon. Oh, and it was slightly damaged in delivery, but we just placed this to the back as it was on the bottom edge.

Sadly the mirror I ordered was not wrapped at all adequately and arrived smashed to pieces. I was offered a replacement but they couldn’t offer to wrap it any better than the first one - for no apparent reason. I was given a refund instead but they wouldn’t take the broken one back. It doesn’t fit in my council bin so I now need to drive a round trip of an hour to take to the local dump. Very inconvenient. I have really lost out in my experiences with Tikamoon.

Awful company avoid at all costs. I ordered an item, on a uk site, took forever to arrive as its coming from France. It arrived damaged... I sent photographs via email, 15 emails later, and 10 days, they Organised collection, after I phoned, apparently because I kept emailing the emails go to the bottom of thousands of emails. Seriously ??? On collection, Ive waited 2 weeks for a refund. I emailed them no reply as usual. I rang up to ask why, they said oh you need to ring once the item is collected for a refund Seriously ???? sort out you IT issues and customer service. Ive never in 45 years experienced such ridiculous excuses and awful correspondence.

It is true that we work off of the oldest emails we receive first to make sure that we respond to all of our customers within an acceptable timeframe. Your order would be automatically refunded once it reaches our warehouse but we ask that you call or email us to let us know the collection was successful and we can then refund you as early as possible. We ordered a sideboard from the website. Website is very user friendly and the pictures and colour were very accurate. we are over the moon with the sideboard, it’s wonderful! Beautifully made and it smells amazing too! I love that it’s reclaimed pine. I would have given it five stars but I do feel the delivery charge is very expensive and the delivery men wouldn’t take it out of the box, so I had to wait until my husband came home. All in all, would definately recommend.

TV unit we received is gorgeous. Very well made peace of furniture. The only downside was the waiting time! Ordered in February and only received in August .

I waited 4 months for a TV stand which, on arrival, didn't appear to have been oiled all over. The top feels quite rough. I was advised to lightly sand and treat with Syntilor oil which I had to pay for. I was told that if they ordered another piece of furniture, there was no guarantee that it would arrive in perfect condition either so it would be better for me to try and make good the piece I have. I like the TV stand itself but am disappointed with the quality and the after sales service.

Answer by tikamoon.co.ukFlagThank you for your review. Unfortunately I am unable to find your order but I would advise that our pre oiled items use an oil that keeps the wood looking and feeling raw. Should this not be suitable for customers we recommend our units that are not finished so that this choice is up to them which is why you were advised it could be sanded and re-protected. Answer by Colin TFlagSome of the furniture feels smooth (eg the side panels) whilst the top in particular feels rough. Surely the finish should be be uniform all over.

Website easy to use, I bought the cube bedside table which was a much more solid and high quality piece of furniture than I had expected and more than worth the price - especially as delivery free. Customer service was great -I say this despite the fact that the delivery was weeks later than estimated. The explanation was charmingly fulsome and the delay was clearly out of the company’s control. Delivery company had great attention to detail with plenty of opportunity for the customer to describe their location so that no mistakes made. I would happily order from this company again.

We are extremely pleased with the workmanship of our two items and have no complaints regarding it. There was a little damage during transit but fortunately this was on the back struts of the sideboard and will not be seen when in situ. Tikamoon have offered some compensation for this. Delivery did take a long time, having ordered in February and just delivered last week (6 months) but we feel it was worth waiting for.
