  In the afternoon I returned to the shop to complain that my skis were making a creaking sound. When I raised concerns about the equipment, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful responses from your staff. There were two members of staff in the shop and the female member dismissed my concerns and said it was normal. I informed her I am an experience skier and said I have never heard a ski creak before but she said it is the different snow! The staff did not even ask to see the ski or investigate the problem when I reported it – which I find unacceptable. It was not as if they were busy as I was the only customer of the day according to the staff. The following morning whilst skiing down Point de la mass – during a fast turn the ski Binding broke causing me to fall at quite a high speed. Luckily I was able to retrieve the ski which went a few hundred meters down the slope and picked up by a someone on the slope (as the brake was not on the ski). I lost nearly a morning of skiing and had to an injury (bad bruise) to my upper thigh for the remainder of the trip. Skimium took up the issue and refunded half a days ski hire

  Extremely professional and helpful. Must’ve been a headache spending a full hour watching my dad try on every single goggle and helmet in the store but they were extremely patient and willing to find the right product for him. Definitely will rent againe — easy to book as well!

  We hired six sets of skis during April and the service was excellent. I always find it a difficult decision to arrange ski hire in a new location but I would definitely return to this Skimium shop in Alpe d'Huez. We had particularly good help from one of the members of staff who resolved a ski boot issue for us - he was extremely patient and very happy to explain some of the options that we could consider. Absolutely the best service and we were very pleased to have gone back for advice.

  This is the second time I have used the shop for my family's ski hire and again the staff were excellent providing great service. They even offered to collect our equipment from the apartment ski locker at the end of our stay. I will definitely use them again.

  This was the most efficient ski hire we’ve experienced! The guys in the shop were lovely and went out of their way to help, including sourcing a special insole we needed for our son. Great quality skis and really quick and easy to return.

  The shop is close to the bus stop into town and a short walk to the nearest lift. The skis and boots were in good condition. Boots fit well and we're as comfortable as they could be. Staff were friendly and happy to give advice on where to go
