  Luke in Gonnet sports could do with some customer service training His older colleague is wonderful I had to try 4-5 boots before I was finally offered a brand new pair which were still one size too big All plus stars are for older colleague

  Have used this store before hence returned. No one else in store so quick and easy service. Boots and skis for younger child were more than adequate. Needed a boot change for older child as he was getting blisters. Replacement boots better but many seasons old…the heels had been walked through to the boot itself. Service was fine, but apparatus old and tired. This shop sells excellent high level gear…shame rental skis and boots not to the same standards

  Attended the shop at about 2pm on a Saturday and we were the only customers. Granted the shop is not in the centre of the busiest part of La Plagne but in the quieter Plagnes Villages but that is why we chose it - saved time in the long run.

  As we were flying from South Africa and arriving late afternoon on the Friday, we made an email request to collect our equipment that afternoon. The shop responded favourably but when we went to the shop we were told that we couldn't and that all the equipment had to be dried out from the previous weeks rentals. In the morning a large group had arrived just before us at the shop and we were caught up in a long queue, which is exactly what we were trying to avoid. The equipment we were given had definitely seen better days and was pretty battered and worn. Having said that the staff were very receptive to changing the worn boots and helmet a few days in to our 10 day rental. Overriding feeling was that it was a long way to come to be given second grade equipment.

  As per my review on Google, me and my group received excellent service from Skimium - ACTION SPORT. We booked 10 sets of skis on the Skimium website ahead of our trip to Morzine in March. We arrived to collect the skis at 18:30 on Sunday evening (30 minutes before closing). The Skimium staff provided great service and were extremely efficient. Our group was attended to by three staff members within minutes of arriving. The equipment and boots were in good condition and served us well for the week of our stay. One of our group required a boot change midweek due to a sizing issues. This was done without any issues or charge. Would recommend and use again.

  Despite ordering a month in advance when we got to the store 3 of the 4 adults could not get the right sized all mountain skis. We did get them the next day but their was no choice. We paid for the emotion pack which cost SF160. I hire skis at leastv 4 times a year and for this price you get skis that are maybe 2 years old and with a selection. We got Black Crow Vertis skis which frankly were old and beaten up.

  Great location opposite the main chair lift and gondola so no need to carry them far. Light & airy shop so you don’t get hot when putting on your boots. Well organised and helpful English speaking staff. Good quality skis

  Cyril sports - the ONLY place to hire kit in ALPE DHUEZ. So glad I found this place and the 5* reviews were very accurate. I’ve never known such attentive and fabulous customer service (didn’t think I’d be writing this about something as basic as ski hire)

  Took out the insurance but one it soms skis snapped at the back and I had to pay 50 euro. They were old skiis in their second season and clearly had a latent defect. My son is only ;6kg and was skiing with an instructor on the piste. Never seen a break like this in 43 years of skiing

  What a brilliant way to pre-book one’s equipment. Easy website AND IT WORKED! Upon arrival in Wengen it could not have been easier or more friendly. It almost became a habit to ask their ski run for the days advice. Could not have been a nicer experience. Thank you.

  Store was easy to locate and staff pleasant. Simple to book on line but the system would not accept my Decathlon card number, stating it did not exist so I was unable to claim the 5% discount. I paid for an All Mountain Ski and wanted to try Elan Ripstick or Volkl Blaze or Fischer Ranger. The store had none of these and it appeared to have a vast stock of Kastle skis. I accepted the DX84, the snow conditions were variable, the ski was ok but not what I wanted to try. It also had a Skiset logo on the tip!

  Heel binding on one of the Skis was broken, causing it to slowly slide back by itself while skiing. Ski came off on the Arolles black run so I had to slide part of the icy run on my body causing me bruising which made sitting and skiing uncomfortable for the rest of the trip. Lucky, considering how much worse my injuries could have been. Person issuing the equipment seemed dazed/confused the entire time. And this is perhaps why the broken binding wasn't noticed. Would have had to walk 1km+ uphill in Ski boots had i not known how to adjust a heel binding myself. Store representative confirmed that the heel binding was broken, justifying it saying it was "very rare". Clearly not stringent enough testing of equipment before issuance! Store representative then gave me an email to contact regarding a refund, but when I emailed this address I received a automatic reply saying I required an "exceptional refund form" from the store. This clearly should have been told to me in the store, alone with the form.

  They spoke good English and were kind and knowledgeable. Equipment was excellent quality. Not the cheapest in the resort, but if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. I felt it was good value for money.
