  The staff were so helpful and we had good gear at a good price by ordering them online. We even bought our tickets in the store saving time on the slopes and they allowed my son to swap from skis to boarding so he could try both. The staff there were all so friendly and helpful.

  Nice store and equipment I got in the end was good. I ordered premium equipment however when I was given boots they were obviously standard and quite old. Only for I asked for new boots, I’m not sure I would have been given them. With skis I tried to contact the shop before I went to get specific skis but it was hard to call or email them.

  Very easy to find and convenient for the Pleney Ski lift I had an issue with my helmet of the third day, took it back and was immediately provided a replacement.

  Fantastic ski rental shop and the closest to the lifts and the train to Mont Chery. We have always had great equipment from here and they are quick with fittings. You can either take your equipment with you or leave it at the shop every day. We have used them for years and highly recommend them.

  I felt very unwelcome. The staff made very little effort to communicate with me. It was an uncomfortable collection and return experience. On return they said nothing to me and only when I prompted them for some sort of feedback that everything was alright did they say anything. At no point did they even ask my name. Won’t be using this shop again.

  poor quality skis & boots & felt disorganised. Huge thing was the quality - really not good. Had to spend time returning the next day to swap the skis. Old skis. Paid for top package, but we did not get that at all.

  Despite having all our info in advance the store (Carrel sport) was totally unprepared for us and even had to go to another shop to get the right size snowboard, messing a longer wait. My 12 year old son was given heavy adult skis which weighed more than mine rather than the junior performance skills we'd ordered, so we had to come back and swap them after 1 day. I got the feeling they simply supplied what they had in stock rather than what the customer had ordered - ie no planning ahead based on internet orders placed in advance.

  My daughter has a very difficult size for her feet and first ski boots we rented were too narrow. We had to go back to Penz to try to change them. It was nothing too much for the staff at Skimium! They were very patients and gave my daughter a variety of boots to try until she found the best size ones. We are very pleased with our experience at Pierre Penz in Hameau du Lay, we keep on coming back every year and will deffinetely return in the future. Strongly recommended.

  Really helpful, no problem in changing our boots when needed. Also bought a couple of spoon sledges as only 4 euros. The store is about 50 metres off the Aollets button lift run. We were staying at Odalys on the Ecartee run so opted to drive up to the shop for ease. They were open all day as it was the holidays which allowed us to drop our equipment at lunchtime on our last day.

  All round fantastic service with new equipment... Great flexibility and knowledge and very good technical English when my French ran out! Always a pleasure to use Skimium and Le Lodge were one of the best. Very well stocked shop as well as excellent hire kit. Thank you Le Lodge team.

  We have used the SKIMIUM shop in La Rosiere many times before and always go back. The store provides excellent equipment and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The staff seem to bend over backwards to help with their customers needs and we found returning equipment on one of their busiest end of weeks really easy with only a short queue. They have a returns system which seems to work well.

  The store worker upstairs was very helpful and engaging at every visit, the younger ski technician downstairs was unhelpful and sometimes rude, just going against any requests or questions that were raised on ski choice.

  Well organised and good systems in place. Very nice staff. Everything was ready for us when we arrived so it was quicker than other ski hire shops we have used. Equipment was a high standard. Good storage systems, with numbered allocated boot storage. Plenty of space to put in boots etc.

  They spoke good English and were kind and knowledgeable. Equipment was excellent quality. Not the cheapest in the resort, but if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. I felt it was good value for money.
